My boss is amazing at giving us thank you cards and making sure she vocalizes her appreciation for everything we do. Being an HR rep is often a thankless job where people assume the worst of you so it's nice to have support! My old boss was a two faced b-word so it's a lovely change!!!

yes, my supervisors are pretty good about showing their thanks and appreciation. it's very important to me! it's hard working in a thankless job--like you, i've been in that situation and it really affects my morale. it's nice to puff up with pride every once in a while. i mean, not to hot balloon proportions, just a little bit--like baby penguin proportions

@babyjmama: I am so with you! I work in Benefits which is an arm of HR, and we usually don't get much thanks either. My old boss was a big jerkface, and my new boss is a total 180 of him. She will constantly send emails thanking me for things she wouldn't normally have thought about and thanking me for my suggestions that she may or may not take. My old boss wouldn't even THINK about taking a suggestion I offered, so it's a very welcomed change and it goes a really long way.

The team I work with is amazing. My supervisors always have something nice to say about my work, effort, ideas, etc. It makes work a more pleasant experience!

My team is wonderful and my supervisor is so good about sending us nice messages about our hard work and how grateful she is to have us here. I work in child protection so it is rare to hear a lot of positives!

Yep! I part own my company with my DH. We both recognize that if it wasn't for the other our company would not be where it is today.

My boss told me last week that I was doing a great job, and that was a big deal for me because she doesn't give out compliments she doesn't mean She's also taking my co-worker and I to lunch on Thursday as a thank you for all we've done lately. It helps me SO MUCH to get positive feedback!

@babyjmama: Lol oh trust me, there are plenty of those. At least there used to be when our work partnership was newer. Now I guess it just seems very normal and those jokes have been over used haha!!
