I always thought I was a pretty good speller! Then all those red squiggles in Firefox and Chrome made me realize that I suck at spelling. I've gotten better, but I still get regularly amazed at how many typos I make.
I think this post is OK though. Although since it's about spelling, there are probably 52 typos in the post.
Does (or did) Firefox/Chrome's spellcheck depress you about the state of your spelling?

I'm an awful speller. As I'm sure you figured out by now. I had a little hand held spell checker, a gift from my mom, in high school. It was before everyone did everything on computers.

@mrbee: Yes I was very lucky my parents were able to give me that gift. I worry all the time about providing similar opportunities for this little one I'm growing. Here's hoping baby gets it's daddy's athletic ability and a free ride to school!!

No, I know I suck at spelling. I google all of my misspelled words. HB's spell check is pretty convenient.

I'm a horrible speller, so the squiggly lines never surprise me. Not sure why, since I've been a big reader ever since I learned how. We would have mock spelling bees in English class and everyone thought I was pretending to be a terrible speller and throwing out weird letters on purpose. Nope. I just suck at spelling.

I use safari on my macbook and it automatically spell checks everything. It doesnt bother me though because I'm intentionally lazy when it comes to spelling and grammar online

I am good at spelling but when I am typing my mind is somewhere else ... I think it is mostly my grammar that sucks vs my spelling.

I'm pretty good at spelling. Sometimes I'll look at something I wrote in word, though and it tells me my grammer is all wrong. That, I don't always understand.

Yes, I'm not horrible but there are just some words that for some reason I refuse to spell right even though I'd like to spell right. The worst is when I started teaching and had to give chalk talks so I'd try to write and talk at the same time. It was a little embarrassing to realize how many spelling mistakes I make when my mind is not focused. I started bringing a notepad with certain words to make sure I was at least spelling the important words correctly.
