Yes, more so people that we weren't close with. We have known our name for a while and I've been ok sharing it... But for some reason it bugs when people use it. One of my clients ALWAYS says her name.

I think that would annoy me too. We will be team green, so we will probably float a few ideas around but no one can call a team green baby by the name anyway.

heh my mom did that too! it was weird at first, but we took that chance when we shared it with her. She wanted to try it out just like us

nope... we finalized our name and have only told close friends and family. only a handful of ppl use it ; and it's endearing.... id be annoyed if we hadn't chosen one and ppl were just using their preferential names.

Yes! My friend had a banner at my baby shower featuring LO's name and it really bugged me. I had her take it down before the guests arrived!

Nope. We never told a soul the names we were considering so, no one was able to call my belly anything.

Yes!! We were between two names when I was pregnant with DD and at the baby shower, everyone was calling her the name we ended up NOT picking. (It was all over the cards and chalkboard memos that people left us... that'll be interesting to explain to DD when she gets older).

I know it would bother me, so that's why we're not sharing any of the names we're considering.

@ladyfingers: My issue is more a traditional thing. Jewish babies don't really have names until after they are born and have a naming ceremony (we are way superstitious and don't want to get excited/pick a name until after baby is born and healthy). So, when people blast a potential name all over my Facebook wall, it makes me cringe because it feels like I am making a huge social taboo in my Jewish social circles by sharing the name before she has arrived...
