Now that I'm a mom, I think way too much about different things, Mother's Day being one of them. I don't get to see my mom on Mother's Day anymore, and thinking about that from my own 'Mom' perspective now is just sad! I'm going to be so sad when/if my kids move away from me and have their own lives/don't want to take the time to see me. My Granny lives within 0 minutes - 2 hours of her 4 kids, and only 1 kid (my Mom whom she lives with) and one granddaughter is taking the effort to see her on Mother's Day. The others want to spend time with their own families. I get that this is all normal and part of having your own family, but it makes me sad for my Granny - she doesn't get celebrated as a mom anymore. Again, not saying anyone is wrong or being selfish, it's just a sad part of the cycle of life and families.
Also sad for people who don't have good relationships with their own moms/kids, or who can't be moms.
So, I don't know, I've just been really sad about the whole day lately! Am I just crazy, or is anyone else as ridiculous as I am?
