I’ve been spotting, so pretty sure I’m not pregnant... but no period so who knows. I checked my cervix and it feels open. I’m 9 DPO. Does this mean I’m definitely out?

How does your cervix feel? Is it soft? And it may not tighten up the opening until 12 or more DPO. Maybe implantation bleeding as mentioned above?

@fuzzypeaches: @Mrs.Panda: possible... but I’m a spotter before periods, so I just don’t know! It’s high and very soft

My cervical position is all over the place. I don’t think it’s indicative of much (other than ovulation, for me). Also I had one random cycle a few months ago where I spotted about 4 dpo-9dpo for no apparent reason. I have such inconsistent cycles and always think I know my symptoms and then they change.

@CatchAFallingStar: high and soft is usually associated with pregnancy, but I think your symptoms are a hodgepodge. Is it true spotting or is your cervix more friable? Have you tested yet?

In many many cycles of thinking about these things I’ve just come to the conclusion that at 9dpo nothing means anything. And the cervix is so hard to read especially if you already have babies. I will say, I am also a spotter and I’ve never spotted during the 2ww when pregnant, but very consistently on non pregnant cycles. But, evvvvvvery time I wondered these same things so I totally get it! Wishing you luck for a sticky baby soon!

I think after two kids the cervix is always a little open. I would not use that as a predictor of pregnancy or not pregnant! I didn't check my cervix after my first kid because I heard it's just different.

For me it meant ovulation but every cervix is different and every woman is different
