My lo takes her baby "pink baby" with her every day. All of her friends know pink baby is her special toy and leave it alone, for the most part.

Yep! LO has her "puppy" that comes along. I just learned from her teacher today that she has 2 friends who will help her find it if it gets lost - so cute! We have 2 because when she first started daycare a couple months ago she wouldn't ever put it down and it got so dirty (and covered in paint once!) that we would have to wash it every time. Now she just likes having it around.

M just started preschool so she's been bringing her bear along. But apparently she only needs it for a few minutes in the beginning and then the teachers put it in her backpack.

Nope. They ask we don't bring anything in. Other kids get jealous they don't have anything. Sometime she wants to bring something to show her teachers or friends so we take it and then DH and I take it with us when we leave. We just send a blanket for nap.

No, they aren't allowed to bring anything! Sometimes they ask for a stuffed animal for the ride to school.

LO took her Angel Dear giraffe lovey every day to daycare. Now that she is not, I sent it with her the first couple times she went to the gym daycare but now she loves going and I don't send it.

Yes. My son is obsessed with keys and has to carry one at all times (he even sleeps with it). However daycare does not really allow us to bring stuff in so they usually take it away and put it in his cubby. I don't know if he thinks about it all day bc it is the first thing he asks for when I pick him up at night.

I sent a lovey there but I have no idea if she holds onto it or not!

She has her "bankie" that she's had since she was a baby, everyone knows to stay away from that (most kids there have a blanket as well so they are pretty good about it.) She has just recently started being very attached to "Bear-y" (or Barry since I think it's funnier with an old man's name) which is my husband's care bear from the early 80s...this thing is ancient but she found it in the toy room at my in laws and has been attached to it ever since.
