LO will be mobile soon and I'm looking up play mats for when we visit the in-laws. Whenever we go there, there isn't a place for LO to rest or nap. They do have extra rooms, but the most convenient one always has FIL's yard clothes laid on top of the bed and on the chair (the only places to sit). Every time we visit, we have to ignore they're there or move the clothes on the bed onto the chair, making a bigger pile. I find this very odd because in my culture, this would mean that they don't want anyone there! But they seem genuinely happy to see LO, and have commented a few times about how they miss her. I've chalked it up to a cultural or another in-law quirk I shouldn't take personally.
But I'm a little curious how it is at grandma's house for you. Does LO have his/her own designated place?
