My daughter gets distracted when we FaceTime people. She will say hello and then run off and so somethi is else. Or, she will want to show whoever we are talking to every toy she owns.
Does your lo like face timing/skyping people?

LOs like to FaceTime with my SIL and FIL. They have an active conversation like they would in person. The kids are always happy to FaceTime. Of course this usually happens during dinner while they're still seated. Otherwise, they take the phone with them and run around while talking.

DD loves to FaceTime! She just grins at the camera/screen (she's 7.5 months). She definitely seems to recognize the people she is talking to.

My LO (6 months) always tries to eat the phone! It's pretty cute to see from the other side.

We were just talking about this over the weekend! Unfortunately, LO does not love it which makes is hard to chat that way with friends and family. He says hello and then seems to get very nervous and very quiet. He is the type of child who takes a few moments to warm up anyways but once he's comfortable, will talk forever, but he doesn't seem to like/understand the concept of FaceTime. He does much better on the regular phone for some reason!

Yup, LO loves it. He especially enjoys showing off his toys and his room

Another one who's LO loves it and to show off her toys. We just moved so right now she wants to FaceTime everyone in the family and show them her new room. She actually doesn't really understand the regular phone and always asks why so-and-so is "hiding" if I'm talking to them on the phone.

yes, he is 3 y.o. he loves it. he insists on holding the phone too and so the person can usually only see half his face, but it's fun to watch him talk to them

My 1 yo seems to like it most of the time. Right now we talk to my parents and DH most days - I usually do most of the talking and flip to the back camera so LO can run around and play, but he comes over every few minutes to 'talk'. He just started kissing the phone when we're talking to my husband, which is so cute to watch!

Yep. She likes to talk to them " on the computer" not "listen to them." She also likes to wander around with my phone and put them (whoever we're talking to) places: her play kitchen sink or fridge, in her bed under the covers, etc

She loves it- especially with my sister and her four year old son. It's so cute because even though we only see them a few times a year they actually have a relationship. We do "breakfast club" at least once a week (aka FaceTime while both are eating breakfast, very original). FaceTime is probably my second favorite thing about my phone (always having a camera handy being first).

She loves Skyping with both sets of grandparents, and puts on a huge show every time.

My kids don't love it or hate it, but they will do it at least a little bit before running off to do something else. Since all of our family lives far away, it's pretty normal for them.

We FaceTime with my family quite a bit since they live across the country. Sometimes it's just me holding up the phone so my parents can see the kids running around playing. But DS likes to get really close and kiss the phone. DD just likes Facetiming with all the family dogs. Even when my sister puts her kids on, Alice cries for Sadie dog.

It depends. My son (2) asks to "talk to NanaPapa?" on a regular basis. Once they're on the screen, though, sometimes he gets really quiet, sometimes he runs around showing them things, and sometimes he loses interest and just takes off. We try to do FaceTime during his meals (his other set of grandparents live in England so we usually call them Saturday mornings over breakfast) because then he's stuck in one place and is more likely to interact with them.
