My friend has a 4-month old daughter and the other day she was doing some tummy time while my daughter (21 months) was playing beside her. The baby started fussing and then crying and my daughter totally freaked the heck out! She started panicking, tearing, and asking for me to pick her up...

LO either tries to comfort crying baby or ignores the baby. I have watched my niece a few times, and it was easy for him to adjust to the occasional cries.

No, she just acts really concerned and says, "Baby Jaren crying... I go hug Baby Jaren" and tries to console him!

3 possibilities: LO can ignore the baby, try to comfort the baby, or start crying herself for attention. Oh, 4 - be annoyed at the baby.

@Rubies: lol! Nothing is wrong with your kid:) Heck, i'm a mom and I freak out when my baby starts fussing. I literally start to stress sweat.
I think my son will be the same. He has never been around kids and our house is REALLY QUIET. He will be maybe 20m old if we get pregnant with #2 as planned.

My cousin stopped by on Sunday with her kids to meet R. Her youngest is 3 1/2 and looked so worried and scared when R was crying. She was overtired so nothing was settling her down. It was sort of cute how worried she was about R.
