Um, no. My husband just spent half an hour laying in bed with our daughter because she wouldn't fall asleep. We're having a pretty rough go of it sleep wise with her. She's so dependant on us.

I am able to leave the room, but have to sit outside the door for a while.. Sometimes he cries and I have to open the door to show him I'm still there!

I always leave before she falls asleep. We do bedtime stories, potty and a song and we leave. She's 2 years 4 months and she's just starting to try stalling bedtime with taking a long time on the potty and she does get upset sometimes but it's not negotiable and we tell her it's bedtime and we leave the room and she's fine after a minute. She had 3 stuffed animals that she loves in her bed so she's fine after a minute. Even if she takes an hour to fall asleep we just leave her

Every night

18 months and yep, I have to sit there until she falls asleep. One time, I tried sneaking out to watch some tv but she cried for half an hour, calling my name before I gave up. I went back in and sat there, and she immediately calmed down and went to sleep

Yep...DS was a good sleeper. I worry that LO will be my difficult one lol.

yup, I think i I stayed it would delay him actually falling asleep.

Yeah I don't stay unless he is sick. He usually plays for 5 mins and goes to sleep. Sometimes he will cry a little but that's pretty rare these days. He's 22 months

Yes, thankfully, both of them do. Sometimes they stall though but I stand my ground and eventually get out of there without any tears on their end. Routine works really well with my kids and I try everything to get them to stick with it even if sometimes they like to try something new. For a while, my youngest made me put his book in the office every night after we read it. He's a heavy boy so doing that for naps and bed time got a bit too much for me, especially since I had to carry him and walk which has been hard on my hips.
