My son (2.5) absolutely loves his school. No protesting at drop off! He goes to school 9-3 and is one of the older kids in his class....and doesn't nap (he's the only one). Which I've gotten over, but it means he is very tired when I pick him up. When I pick him up, he doesn't want to leave. Like, runs away from me, shouts "no go away!" and generally won't do anything I ask of him. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and not only is it embarrassing, it's also very physically difficult for me to wrangle him in to get him home. I will soon be picking him up with a newborn in tow and cringe at thinking of pickups. I was thinking of asking his teachers to prepare him a little better for pick up, including giving him timed warnings or something.
Any suggestions?
