Yep. My job comes with a lot of perks.

I'm technically an independent contractor but I do work under a broker. My office is constantly hosting lunches, happy hours, parties etc. They are also involved in a ton of community events like parades. They also host a concert in the park every month.

Yes; the company as a whole does a lot of events/fun stuff and our department does stuff as well. Happy hours once a month or so, we're gone for ice cream, lunches, special treats brought in (cupcakes, etc.). Holiday parties and there are numerous team-building community service activities we all parktake in (and don't have to use PTO for!)

We had a huge social event this week (lunch, drinks and bowling at a fancy bowling place). I missed it because I was too busy.

Our smaller team had a social event in May (lunch, drinks and ping pong at a ping pong night club). I went, but it's not really my thing.

Nope, we had our summer one cancelled a couple months ago. We probably won't get a holiday one either. My group is the most under appreciated of the company because we don't bring in money, but keep everything working efficiently.

Every second Friday we have "awesome Friday". It's casual day, we buy everyone lunch (usually either pizza or chinese, but sometimes we go out) and then for the last hour we all play video games against each other.

Definitely not! We are a nonprofit so there isn't really money for that. Every once in a while (like maybe once or twice a year!) my whole "unit" will plan in advance to go out to lunch together (but we all pay our own way).

We do have a Christmas party which used to be a catered lunch (like Olive Garden or something) at our office, but this past year to cut costs, they had it at 2 p.m. and just had heavy hors d'oeuvres... and a "dessert contest"! (Which basically means, you employees make the desserts. LOL) Then they do a raffle ticket thingy where you can win little prizes and they hand out awards for "years of service". It's pretty sad. BUT then they usually close the office at 4 and we can leave a little early.

And of course, people bring in goodies to share pretty regularly - the standard donuts, muffins, etc.

I have to say, it's fine with me. I am there to work and do the best I can, but I would be REALLY resentful if I had to spend my "off time" at a work event! Thankfully my boss feels the same way.

We have a holiday party and occasionally have a potluck chili lunch.

My company has a lot of events, but they are all optional. There are several sports teams that compete in local leagues, they do company sponsored happy hours a few times a year, along with a Christmas Party and a few other events a year like ice cream on July 3rd.

Quarterly happy hours and summer activities like family baseball games!

We do holiday dinners and special meals (usually catered lunch) for birthdays/showers/etc.
