Argh! We normally have our taxes done as soon as we get our w2s, but this year with a baby, and recently buying a house...and LIFE, it totally just hasn't happened. We normally have a tax attorney who does them, but I don't have a lot of time to get him the paperwork, even though it would be no problem for him to do them. What is the best online e-file in your opinion?

@matador84: we use turbo tax. Although confession time: we haven't filed ours yet! DH did most of it w/ the software already, just has to officially file it all.

turbo tax. and we still haven't done ours yet either, the house is debacle post stoop sale, and my mom is coming on saturday so i know how you feel!

My family uses turbotax although DH & I don't. My husband is a business owner so he can't do his until June. Sooooo annoying!

We used H&R block online until this year. Now our taxes are complicated enough to require a tax professional. When they were complete, it was a 100+ page bound notebook! We were glad we had help!

We use turbo tax!
Btw there are always coupons online. Look on Fidelity or State Farms sites. You don't need to have an account with them.

we use turbo tax too. DH does them every year because i don't have the patience to do them...and he procrastinates until the last week every single year. i don't care, as long as he does them and i don't have to. we always owe money anyway, so its not like there's the time value of money involved either.

We still havent done ours, lol. We get until June 15th though, because we're overseas military.

We file an extension. This time of the year is so hard for me, as a teacher. I usually get all the tax stuff ready for the accountant and then take it to him. My stuff takes a while to prepare. So, we just do an extension and I finish it up when school is done in early May.

We use turbotax. We don't e-file, though. We print out the docs and mail them in. $20 is a lot of money when you could spend less than $.50 on a stamp!!
Oh and we just filed yesterday.
