Where was your baby moon? Did you go on a international trip or did you stay domestically?
I'm considering going to Cabo (Mexico) for my baby moon.

It was domestic, but Alaska- so barely
I'd do Cabo if you want beach and stay at a resort!

In our case, baby *needed* to be born in America, else we'd have some difficult immigration problems to solve. So we stayed put in America during the entire pregnancy.

We went to Vanuatu for our babymoon (from Australia) so international for us!

If you can afford it go international because babies can make that harder

We are going to playa del carmen, mexico, for ours. But almost chose maui!

@sunny: Sadly, I'll be 20 weeks or earlier when I go on the baby moon and I don't think babies are viable at that point, if something were to happen. I would just have deal with any complications that would affect me.

@bluestriped bee: Our issues weren't medical! Neither of us are citizens yet so if LO were born outside the US, we would have had to figure out how to get LO residency here.

We stayed fairly local and went to Lake Tahoe here in California. In fact, we just got back last week! It snowed and was so beautiful.

I picked other. With K, we went to Kauai and it was awesome! This next one, we have to go international for a family wedding, so extending it into our babymoon too.

Domestic - went on a long weekend to the beach. But we did travel to Taiwan for a wedding and to visit DH's family when I was 20 weeks pregnant.

@bluestriped bee: where's your Cabo thread? Let me know if you want any tips.

We didn't really go on any babymoons. We took a quick trip to hanoi in our second trimester with our first. I guess that can be considered our babymoon. We just got back from a family trip to cabo. It's such an easy destination from the PNW. But be careful of where you eat and drink. My husband and I got a little sick from eating at the airport on our way back.

I live in NY and we flew to CA for a wedding so we just made the most out of that trip, it was right before 3rd trimester.

Domestic - I got SO SICK on several flights so I refused to fly anymore while pregnant plus we had travelled internationally the month before I got pregnant, so I was fine staying somewhat local.
We drove to NYC (5 hour drive) when I was about 37 weeks pregnant and had an awesome long baby-free weekend!

We drove 6 hours to Cannes, France. So sort of international, but not really. Originally I was gonna go back to the East Coast, but as I've said before, traveling after the holidays traumatized me!

We went international, to Egypt, but it was only a 5 hour flight and I had the all clear from my OB.
We had that special insurance you can get where you're airlifted out by helicopter.

We didn't go on a baby moon per se and we got pregnant right after our honeymoon. But we went to Sweden in the first trimester.

@Anagram: It was in Switzerland, my husband organized it. I don't know a lot about it, truthfully, but I do know it was available as an option on our private insurance.

We went to Dominican Republic first time around, and are going again this year. Both times, I was around 28-30 weeks pregnant (can't remember exactly). I did talk to my health insurance ahead of time and found out they would still cover any medical issues or hospitalizations in a foreign country, but that I would have to have an itemized bill and it would have to be translated to English.

Technically international, but it didn't feel like it - we took a 1-hour flight to Quebec City. Eating lots of French Canadian food was just what I needed in my 3rd trimester.

We went to Maui because we wanted a relaxing destination, and we were too lazy to renew our passports.

@looch: @Anagram: Sounds like the same thing as MedJet!
We stayed domestic. I was hospitalized for PTL in the mid-20's of pregnancy (can't remember the exact date) and didn't want to travel anywhere too exotic (and my doctor wasn't too keen on it either!).

We went to Turkey, Istanbul and Cappadocia. I had major pains (not sure, but maybe kidney stone) and we had an unforgettable experience in the ER in Istanbul. It was beautiful, poignant and scary.

We went to Kauai. I did not want to travel internationally while pregnant.

We are leaving this weekend and driving about 5 hours to a beach resort. I had originally wanted to take a cruise, but I've been having some issues with swelling and back pain so we decide to keep it more low key. This way we can stop as needed and go at our own pace.

We went to a resort in Mexico for our babymoon and had a great time! I was 25 weeks.
