We just got the City Mini GT double and have used it a couple of times for a newborn and 16 month old. So far so good. LO #2 seems comfy in it laying flat (didn't spend the money on the car seat adapter). LO #1 didn't fuss going into it at all and was comfy the whole time also. Can't use it as a jogger, but did great on walks around the neighborhood and seems like it is going to hold up very well to regular walks, etc. Pushes super easy, is light (or as light as a double can get) and folds up with the pull of a handle.

Not sure if we will get a true double or just try and use the rumble seat on our UBV, but if we do get a double I've got my eye on the City Mini double!

I actually find thE City Select to be very difficult to fold, particularly with two seats on it, and I usually recommend it with the caveat that it's better if you use it for city living and not for the suburbs where you're in and out of the car a lot.
I know the Bumbleride Indie double is supposed to be great, as is the City Mini double. Can you add a second seat to your current stroller? I'd probably go that route if possible!

@anonysquire: I think we are going to get the city select but if you have a trick for folding I would love to know! I have a fit with it and I would have ruled it out for that reason but we won't need to put it on the car super often and it can live in our mud room open.

I just scored a used city mini double for $100 on a yard sale group! I mean, it was pretty used condition but I washed it and bent the awning back and it's good to go

I have a single city mini and loooooove it. like, cannot say enough good things about it. the double is very easy to maneuver, fits through standard doorways, both kids can recline separately AND flat (!), and each canopy is individual and is one of my fav features (how far down it can cover).

I live in the burbs and baby #2 will arrive next month and my older little one will be 16mos. We have a City Mini for her and while I like how it handles, I HATE the basket and it's my biggest reason for not liking the double mini GT. I also went to test a few strollers and found that maneuvering a side by side double was way more difficult for me than a double decker like the City Select. I drive a sedan and wanted something easy to fold up and not terribly heavy, the Select worked really well in my trunk and it didn't seem like it was going to be a hassle to deal with.

I'm still searching for the perfect double stroller, but I would not recommend a jogging stroller for your everyday one. We have a double jogger and it's is wicked heavy.

@Alivoo01: I know! Now that I'm thinking about it I meant to say I can open it while holding a baby. Which isn't impressive! Since we use the bassinet I take that off with her still in it and then close it. I don't know. I just like it haha.

I have the Mountain Buggy Duet and I LOVE it.

I did so much research and literally test drove dozens of strollers.

It is great in all types of terrain, it can double as a jogger, it's super super slim for a side-by-side (it glides through my kitchen doorway, and virtually every single opening that someone says "bet it can't fit through that...." and it DOES!). It's easy to fold and unfold, but it is a bit bulky when folded. However, it fits in the back of my husband's sedan no problem.

Couldn't recommend it enough!

It only works with Peg Pergero and Graco infant car seats though (with an adapter) so keep that in mind if you want it to hold your infant seat. We bought the adapter and used our graco snugride.
