Just wondering if anyone has had experience with their baby's due dates changing based on the way they are measuring in the ultrasound.
My first due date was May 15th based on my LMP, but changed to May 13th after my ultrasounds.
Well just a couple days ago my OB told me that my due date was actually May 9 based on the last couple growth scans and they had forgot to tell me.
Did your due date ever change? Which due date did your baby come closest to?

I measured off, but they said they wouldn't change the due date unless it was more than 2 weeks off. LO came on her due date, so I'm glad they didn't change it.

I've been measuring about a week ahead. My due date is 10/26 but the tech said I could probably plan on closer to 10/20. However, my due date can't be changed because we had IVF - so no disputing when we conceived!

My date changed a few days when we had our first u/s. But we didn't do any late pregnancy u/s... even if we had I'd be hard press to let them change my edd.

My due date changed a whole week! Original due date was 7/13 based on my LMP, then after my first U/S (around 8 weeks), they bumped it up to 7/6.

My due date based on my LMP was 11-11-11 but after my first ultrasound it was changed to 11-9-11. I went into labor on the 11th

I would trust the ultrasound for due date. My first due date was May10, then the ultrasound at 20 weeks said due date May 1st. Then I had an ultrasound around 33 weeks and my doc said it would date me 'several weeks earlier' but he said that we weren't going to change the date. I figured it just meant I was going to give birth to one of those 10 pounders, but in the end, that ultrasound was right: I gave birth 2 weeks earlier than May 1st.

Mine changed based on the first (7 week) Ultrasound. The dating becomes less and less accurate as pregnancy progresses, so I probably wouldn't trust any date changes beyond the first trimester (unless of course you don't have a first trimester US)

They never changed my due date. LO was born 2 days late though!

My original due date was 4/16 but my date was changed to 4/9 because she was measuring a week ahead. Although I know when we conceived (give or take a day or two) because we planned it.
Billie was born on 4/17, a day after my original due date.

Based on my cycle calculations he was due 1/13, the ultrasounds consistently measured a week ahead, and he was in fact born exactly a week ahead (1/7). They never actually changed my due date though.

My US date was 12 days earlier than my LMP! I've heard early ultrasounds are more accurate than late ones for dating.

This is what my doctor's office website says:
No matter how many ultrasounds you have during your pregnancy it is the first one that will help determine your due date. If the ultrasound due date is within a week or so of your calculated due date by your last menstrual period then we do not change your expected delivery date. The later you get in your pregnancy the more inaccurate your calculated due date will be. Some babies are born six pounds while others ten pounds but early in pregnancy all babies are about the same size. So once you have your first ultrasound whatever due date we determine is your permanent due date.

My LMP put my due date at 11/28 but my 8 week ultrasound (and all of my ultrasounds since) have placed the due date at 11/25 so we're sticking with that. My doctor did tell me though that the farther out you get the less reliable ultrasounds are for due dates because different babies grow at different rates. Hence, they don't all come out weighing the same : )

I have a due date based on LMP, but that's just based on what the internet calculator told me. I haven't gotten any ultrasounds. Personally, I think due dates are silly and the baby isn't "early" or "late" unless they're weeks off.

I had my 30 week sono today and my due date went from 9/1 to 8/27. not much of a change, but he is 100g bigger than what would be based on my lmp. No telling when he will actually arrive! It was hard to figure out a due date based on LMP because I had unusual cycles...ranging from 30-35 days.

What @Highwire posted was exactly what my doctor told me. I'm 7w4d based on my LMP and baby is measuring 7w0d. I O'ed on the 20th day of my cycle (based on temping) rather than the 14th. But basically, as long as everything is within a week of their calculation, they don't change anything.

@highwire: My doc's office is similar.
At my first U/S at 7 weeks my EDD was off by 10 days, so they changed it.

Our due date bounced around a bit in the beginning and at our last u/s, we were told that I was measuring "big" and that due date could have been pushed up a week or so. We have an OB appt. tomorrow so we shall see how we're measuring! We sort of "like" our due date (Election Day, 11/6) so we're sticking with that, even if just for us

First pregnancy, due date never changed although I was measuring about 2w ahead of where I should have been. This pregnancy's first u/s had my EDD two days before LMP had it but the tech said they would only change it if it was 5 or more days different.

They changed my due date to a week earlier based on my first U/S (at around 8-9 weeks).
