Have you heard this story? Two Walmart stores in Louisiana were cleared out when food stamp beneficiaries temporarily had no limit on their cards. People were rolling out with 6 carts full of groceries and racking up giant bills. Then, when the cards came back online, people just abandoned their carts in the aisles knowing they couldn't pay for the groceries.

I think this is horrible, and this is people CLEARLY taking advantage of the system. It makes me so sad that the people who truly need these benefits get a bad reputation because of the people who are only taking advantage of the system. This amounts to theft in my eyes, and those that spent over their limit should have to pay back what they spent. I doubt that will happen though, it looks like Walmart is going to have to foot most of the bill.
