Anyone want to share their every day updos for medium length hair? Mine is a little past my shoulders and I've been pulling it into a knot. I know there are cuter options, but Pinterest is overwhelming me. Help!

The Gibson Tuck is super cute and easy. <-- this coming from someone with a serious lack in hair-doing abilities!

@fussygal: This? And you promise you have no hair-doing abilities? B/c I really don't either lol

Check out the hair tutorials on thesmallthingsblog.com ....Some are more involved but others seem pretty easy!

@snowjewelz: I like this tutorial: http://www.saralynnpaige.com/style/simple-gibson-tuck/ it is a bit simpler and I can seriously do it in 2 minutes. It is super easy and looks nice. I have even worn my hair that way for a black tie event.
I also just do a basic bun at the base of my neck with a deep side part. It works especially well with day old hair and looks nice and neat.

@blackbird: @petunia354: wow she as so many! cool!
@cole: yeah, your link is def easy to follow!

@snowjewelz: yep - scouts honor! that one looks a bit fancier than what I do (I usually skip the twisting of the sides), but the key is to pin like crazy!

@blackbird: Is that your hair? That doesn't look easy. It looks amazing!!!!

@fussygal: Um I tried this today and I looked like an extra from Big Love LOL. It looks so cute in the tutorials linked though!

That the small things blog lady has such awesome hair and skillz that I am using a lot of energy not to automatically dislike her!

@mamimami: her hair skills are amazing. She is a professional hair stylist so makes sense she's so talented

@scg00387: Lol, oh no!! I could definitely see how that could happen though. I always try to do it with second day hair or with some dry shampoo so I can get a good tease going on. I thibk volume on the top will help.

@mamimami: She's a hair dresser, so by default, I can't be annoyed at her skills, lol.

@snowjewelz: I have no hair-doing abilities. I'm going to try something out from that link you posted though. It looks pretty step by step.
@blackbird: love that link too!!!

@808love: I haven't even attempted to try, I just keep bookmarking/pinning stuff I see from this thread lol. My hair is so thin/fine it never holds up to anything I do to it!

@snowjewelz: Mine is super fine too. I have a Pinterest for hairstyles (I've never tried) as well.

@Cole: I did this yesterday and got a ton of compliments, thank you for posting!!!

@mrsmcd, it is and it WAS easy! I do this one a LOT. Takes about 15 min, for reals! It's my go-to, especially if my hair is dirty and I still need it to look better than a bun.

@scg00387: yea it won't stay in my extremely thick hair. It always looks so nice for everyone else though!

I didn't even realize 90% of these hairstyles/updos existed! LOL. They always seem to look better with blonde/lighter hair, though. Pretty sure my dark Asian hair wouldn't make a "tiny knot" look cute... more like a tangled mess.

I have no hair skills but even I can do this one and it looks semi-decent :). It's called the "better bun" but I call it the "easy bun"

@HabesBabe: Most of them I don't have *enough* hair for. Mine is fine/straight/thin so Id need an implant for some of these!
