Currently 32 weeks pregnant (3rd pregnancy) and just had an ultrasound to check my placenta location. I was diagnosed with a low lying placenta early on and apparently, it has resolved itself, but the tech pointed out that baby's heartbeat was "very" high...
She monitored it for about 10 minutes and initially it was 220 (!), and as time went by, it eventually lowered to 198. Throughout all of my appts, its been in the 140s-160s, as have my other pregnancies, so I'm a bit worried.. The tech seemed concerned but didn't actually instruct me to do anything about it (off site imaging center).
I've called my OBs office and the on-call dr said to continue to count kicks and return tomorrow for a doppler reading.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with a heart rate over 200? The baby was pretty active during the ultrasound, so I take it this is a factor, but still feeling a bit concerned. Also, if it matters, I didn't have any sugar/caffeine prior the appt (went on an empty stomach bc it was an early appt). I do normally have a cup of coffee or some other form of caffeine 1x a day.
Thanks~~
