Does anyone, other than you/SO, have extra car or booster seats for your kids in case of an emergency?
I was thinking of emergency situations today and realized my sister is the only one. No one else really drives with our kids and the one time it has maybe happened we just transferred our seats. Now I'm considering at least offering a booster to grandparents, just in case.

My inlaws have a set in their car. The last time we had an emergency my BIL just stopped at DH's work to grab our car seats. Or he could've grabbed the set in my ILs car as well.

My parents each have a seat in their car. I am actually thinking about getting a second seat for us tto keep at home, just in case a friend needs it.

Nope! Neither side of the family lives near us. And if we need a friend to watch DS, we leave her one of our car seats at her house or at daycare if she's picking him up from there.

My dad has a seat for ds1 (our travel one) my mom has a Base for ds2 and a convt for ds1.

No. There is no way we could afford to just have extra seats and there is no place to store them (can't really leave in the hot FL garage). We have 4 between our two cars. Most of our friends have kids similar ages that if something really came up, they could get the car seats from us or they could use their seats.

My sister has kids around the same ages as ours, so they would be available. My parents have a seat in their van, but that's with them down in FL for half the year, so when they're up here visiting over the winter, it doesn't do much good. I've considered asking my ILs to get a seat, because they do watch D so much, but usually we just swap cars with them if they're going to have him overnight or something. To be honest, I know they wouldn't keep the seat in their car when they're not watching him, and I don't trust them to install it correctly when they need it.

My parents have carseats. They are who we'd call in an emergency anyway. My best friend would probably be our backup and she has seats from her kids she could use.

Both sets of grandparents have carseats. My sister lives fairly close and has kids so she also has carseats if needed. We both work from home a lot so our cars are available- and my husband actually has a work vehicle when he does go out so his regular car is often home.

We only have one seat for each of them (and only one car). No one else drives them anyway. The few, like count on one hand, times that someone else drove C we or her seat in their car for them.

We have seats in my moms car and my dad/gf car for my older LO. MIL also has a seat she bought to drive LO1 and my niece around in.

Each set of parents have one seat, one fits DD1 and the other DD2. My mom is going to get another seat for DD2.

My ILs have a seat for their grandkids (we live 3 hours away, but the others are close and all fit in a convertible seat). They just have Cosco, so nothing fancy. But it does the job and passes the same safety tests!
