We have been running very behind on setting up our registry with the move this summer. Finally, we are adding to it and of course I'm concerned if I've placed the "right" or "best" items on it. My shower is scheduled for the beginning of October, when I'll be getting close to my due date.
Which items were your best choices? Any suggestions for "must haves" is appreciated! I know there have been threads like this in the past but I am having some trouble finding them.

Some of my favorite items were: My Little Snugabunny Swing, Pack n Play, Ameda breastpump, Boppy, tummy time mat, Trumpette socks, books, diaper bag, bibs and bottles. Good luck!

I think different people have different needs, styles, etc so everyone will have different must haves on their registries. What helped me was to have a mommy friend look at my registry and like @cvbee: said she critiqued it for me. For example, I had a plastic bath tub on there with no padding and she told me to get one that is softer for LO, and I'm so glad I did. I'd be happy to look at your registry for you!
Also something I didn't think about before I had my LO, I got a front to back swing and my LO likes side to side swings, so we had to get a new swing. We got one that goes both ways so next time we have a LO it will work whatever way they like. Also, we got one that works on batteries instead of plugs into the wall, so we had to change the batteries all the time and it would run out mid nap and that would wake the baby up. So side to side swing that plugs in to the wall.

5. Swing - we have the fisher price natures touch, but I wish we had the snugabunny because it can plug in!
6. I wish we'd had a bassinet or other sleeping situation; the cosleeper didn't work - he hated it! I wanted to try the RnP - everyone on here raves about it!
7. Books: I wish I had read more on baby sleep before he arrived: No Cry Sleep Solution and Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child.
8. a GOOD car seat - we have the OnBoard 35 McKenna - love it!
9. Car mirror - a must for anxious new parents!!
10. Breast pump - I actually have a cheap single electric from Target and it works just as well as my medela double electric!
If I think of anything else I'll let you know!
Oh- I would have gotten a noise machine as well!

We have very purchased very little of the common registry items, like a huge swing, rock and play and all of that other stuff. I wanted to make sure we purchased wisely and bought only what we needed, but we sure did make some mistakes.
Having said that, I'd be careful about buying too many sleepsacks and blankets. I had fleece, microfiber, muslin, you name it, in all sizes. We barely used them. Buy one and see if it works then wait on the other sizes. They always go on sale and you can always have them shipped next day on Amazon or diapers.com.
I loved a few things, like the NoseFrieda, our Beaba Babycook (it's perfect for our lifestyle and lack of storage space), Baby Gap infant reversible cardigans and pants, Carters onesies and the Lamaze toys. Everything else was fluff, we could have easily done without it.

This is our tub and I LOVE it. It grows with the baby, right now my LO is 13 months and she still sits in the little tub inside of the tub. (Not the infant one, but the mini tub). Then when she gets a little bigger and sits in the big tub, we'll be able to use part of her tub as a kneeling pad.

Hands down we use the Rock n Play Sleeper the most so far. I also love the Ultimate Receiving Blankets, which I found for a good price on Amazon. The other item we love is our Uppa Baby Vista, which we were given used. We could not justify spending the money initially but now that we've used one, I can say I would drop the money on a new one tomorrow if something happened to this one. It really is that much better, and we loved our B-Agile, the stroller we bought ourselves.
