I always thought we'd have a girl first, but we've just found out baby number one is a boy! We are both so excited, but I feel like I need to learn more about raising boys...what are your favorite things about your little boy or friends' little boys? Any tips for first time parents to boys? Is the pee pee tee pee really necessary? I am so excited to meet this little guy!

I'm in the same boat as you! I think the pee pee tee pees are cute, but I've heard they are too small to be practical.

Congrats!!! I love having a little boy, he's only 6 months but he's been a blast so far!! We don't (and never have) use pee pee tee pee's, whether you have a boy or girl you'll get peed on eventually, just accept that, but as long as you're quick to cover them back up w/the fresh diaper (or just leave a wipe chillin' on their netherlands) you'll be fine I am really looking forward to having t-ball and soccer games, dirt, etc. I always thought I'd NEED a girl but I really love having a boy!!!

I have a 16 month old girl and love love love her. But I was just having the conversation with a friend who has one of each about the differences. Her girl, like mine, is such a drama queen. Tantrums like crazy if they don't get what they want. Her boy is solaid back and easy going, much much easier!

The best thing about boys is that they are completely devoted to their mommas.
The peeing thing is no big deal and they get over that fast.

I've never even heard of a pee pee tee pee, and I'll admit I'm giggling a bit at the name still. Immature much!? Lol

I love my little boy! He's 6 months and so much fun. And there are ton of cute boy clothes.

I love dressing my 7 month old like a little man. Baby polos and hoodies are just too cute!

We have a little boy and I wanted a little girl too. One thing I wanted was cute clothes. So I found The Children's Place. Totally adorable clothes.
Some of the things you hear about boys aren't necessarily true. We are already potty training my son at 19 months old and he's been really successful. So boys aren't necessarily harder there.

Congrats! I have a 6.5 month old little boy and he is SO much fun. I think the best thing about him is he is so curious....always inspecting things....and very active and excited about life. He doesn't snuggle much but when he does, melts my heart. I actually wanted a boy first and am so happy it turned out this way : )
Oh, and pee pee tee pees are a waste!

DS is a total mama's boy and I love it (for now at least).. DD on the other hand is already acting like a teenager and we clash! Can't wait for high school
