I really like the slide and see books, as does dd. They're interactive like lift the flap books but more indestructible.

Never been to a party, but we were given Going to the Dentist and Going to the Doctor, and both were really great for preparing my then two year old for appointments. I was really glad to have them. They are paper, not board books.

That's not my train is simple but popular, there are many similar books. Also we have a book that has a little pullback train (also comes in ladybug and some other animals I think) and it drives around a little track on each page. My older one still likes that one too.

The busy books (what @bhbee: is talking about with trains and lady bugs) are great!
All Better, Thats Not My... series, the phonics readers are great short storys, Complete Farmyard Tales...
DD loves books, and I really love the quality of Usborne...I was hooked after one party and joined for the discount. Best $25 ever spent!

DS loves the That's Not My...series. He's also really been enjoying the Shine-a-Light books. We tend to just hold the pages up to the light in the room, but once he's a bit older I know he'll get a kick out of reading those with a flashlight. Their sticker books are all excellent quality, too!

My little guy (2) is obsessed with his My First Word Book, Very First Book of things to spot series, and that's not my series.

Thanks, everyone! DD got That's Not My Snowman and the First Words in Spanish books for Christmas from her Grandma and they were huge hits. I'm excited to check out some of the ones you all have mentioned!

I second the Very First Book of Things to Spot series. DS is so in love with them that I have to hide them every few days to not go insane. Gobble Gobble Moo has also become a new favorite. Lots of fun animal sounds
