Thanks for thinking about me ladies! I have to leave in about 15 minutes. I've been trying not to awfulize since I got up (but my brain still thinks it's feasible for there to be a tumor right above my cervix preventing blood flow, or that maybe I have completely run out of eggs since the last time we checked a few months ago)...I know...it's ridiculous. I'm try hush my mind.
AF still hasn't arrived. Part of me thought it would. I used to make appointments for a bad cough or something and as soon as I would get into the office the cough would disappear. Has anyone else had that experience?

@HolisticMama: Not active on this board (but a loyal lurker), but wanted to come out of hiding and say GOOD LUCK today! I am sending tons of positive thoughts your way!
ETA: Completely know what you are talking about. It's like when your symptoms suddenly vanish when you arrive at the doctor's office. "umm... I swear I was running a 103 degree fever before I got here... this 98.7 seems strange."

@HolisticMama: good luck!
Anxiously awaiting to see who will be todays BFP

@Radish: @cyndistar3: Ha me too! Was just wondering about this. I POAS yesterday afternoon and it's still a big stark at 12 dpo, so I am 99% sure I'm out. Just waiting on AF to arrive now (due today) so we can start the next cycle!

@HolisticMama: Thinking of you today!!
Ugh Somehow FF determined that I O'd on 1/31, CD11. I didn't think I O that early, so I wasn't using OPK (and I was JUST starting to see some CM). So as the chart shows, I didn't BD much. Sigh, now I am 90% sure I am out of running this month. I think I'm going to start doing OPK everyday, either on top of, or instead of temping. This is driving me craaaazzzzy!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@snowjewelz: I don't think you O'ed, and FF isn't sure either. Are you still temping? What do your temps look like for the days you left empty?
ETA: Also, don't know if anyone here remembers this/was around, but I used to be a total chart-reading maven when we were TTC DD. I *love* looking at charts and used to know so much about how everything worked. That feels like so long ago and I am getting kind of sad that I don't temp anymore...
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@septca: I am still temping, so I guess I'll see if there is another dip later? I only didn't temp yesterday and I did this morning and it's pretty much still at 97.7.
Haha you should just temp just for fun! Thank you for telling me that I might not have O'd yet! There is still hope! I was so confused this morning when FF decided to tell me it think I O'd and I told my husband and he couldn't believe I was so distressed over it!

@snowjewelz: Ditto what @septca: said. I don't think you've Oed yet. I'm guessing the "S" entry on CD11 is what's causing the crosshairs. What happens if you remove that? (If I remove stuff, I usually write it in under "notes," just in case I need to re-add it later.)
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@LindsayInNY: Huh, yeah, that was the one day I noticed sticky CM and then it's been kinda confusing.
It's still telling me it thinks I O'd. Oh well. I think I need to use OPK the rest of this month now to be sure!
bananas / 9229 posts
@snowjewelz: That's really odd. Usually only watery or EW throws FF off for me (based on temps moreso than OPKs). The dotted lines means FF isn't totally confident about O though. Sometimes FF is wrong. If you look at my chart, I'm fairly certain I Oed on CD20 but any future temps I put into FF give me O on CD21. I had +OPKs on CD18 and 19 so there's no way I Oed on CD21. So I'm not believing FF this time. How do previous charts look? When do you usually O? If you have OPKs, can't hurt to use them!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@LindsayInNY: Oo I love your charts! This is my first chart so I have no history to look back on. I knew that the dotted line means it's uncertain, but I was really taken by surprise.
I am going to order the strip cheapies; I have 7 OPKS I can use but I don't want to be using up 1 box per week of those!

@snowjewelz: How long are your cycles normally? Are you coming off BC or anything that could affect your cycles? I'm at the point where I can read them but it's clearly not helping me get pregnant, LOL. All I've used are Wonfro OPKs. Once you know how to read them, it's super easy!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@LindsayInNY: This is my 2nd month off BC; first month I did not chart. Mrs. Panda was using Babi strips, and I might give them a try! But you seem to know when you O so you know when to use OPK. Was it a trial & error thing that you come to realize when you O? In the beginning, how do you know when to use OPK or you used them all the time to figure out when you O first?
bananas / 9229 posts
@snowjewelz: I'm only speaking from personal experience... I had a tough time coming off BC and my first two cycles were long (40ish and 60ish days). The second cycle (the 60ish day one) I started using OPKs. I think I started around CD10 and continued until almost CD40 when I finally got a positive. However, the good thing is that since then my cycles seemed to regulate. I still started OPKs around CD10 until I realized that I O later (around CD20). Once I figured that out, I started using OPKs around CD15 instead. In the beginning, though, it is trial and error. I would start around CD10 and go from there!
Some people are normal immediately coming off BC, some are irregular for a good year... I was in the middle. Babi strips are essentially the same as Wonfro's, just a different brand. Anything like that is fairly inexpensive on Amazon or eBay (I've bought from both).
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@LindsayInNY: My cycle was 1 day shorter than when I was on BC so far. So I have no idea if it will keep being like this, or go whack on me later!
I can't believe I can be this frustrated 1st month in I think I NEED OPKs just to give me a peace of mind.

Thanks for all the sweet thoughts! This lolcat makes me laugh:
So the ultrasound basically told us nothing. Ugh. She said I have beautiful lining. No cysts. Nothing strange. No big follicles or anything.
She said it looked like I ovulated, but maybe late? Depending on how late- we might have missed our window. We did a blood draw to see what my hormones are doing. If they are nearing baseline- we can look at inducing AF. And if they aren't? Well...I guess we wait.
I am trying SO hard not to over think this. (Not very successfully. Could be pregnant. Could have phantom pregnancy. Could have weird cycles now. Must track all things. Must have sex every 5 days at minimum)
bananas / 9229 posts
@snowjewelz: That's a good sign! I started OPKs and temping cycle #2, I think. I wanted to ensure I was Oing post-BC with both OPKs and a temp rise. Now, over a year later, it's practically second nature though!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@snowjewelz: It's my first cycle TTC too I decided to use OPKs just to confirm that I had a LH surge, and I'm glad it did because it did give me peace of mind. TTC really messes with your head!! Ha.
@HolisticMama: Well, at least she said that everything looked good! Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@HolisticMama: Good to hear from you and glad that everything is "ok" (relatively)! I love that she said your lining was beautiful I didn't know that AF can be induced! It will be okay; we are all here for you~

My boss is totally convinced I'm pregnant. I told him that he's likely the only one. LOL.
For my next cycle- whenever that may be- I am going to go full on conception nerd and track everything.
@snowjewelz: I guess there is a medication that can induce AF. I will try all of these methods first though: http://www.home-remedies-for-you.com/askquestion/7489/treatment-to-induce-menstruation-how-do-i-induce-m.html
I'm not a huge fan of medication. I will definitely resort to it though.

@HolisticMama: I was wondering about late ovulation for you as well. It's so hard to cover your bases. Some sites suggest having sex 3 times a week if you aren't temping so you can catch the O. That would be a bummer if you missed tor ovulation but its also good news that you did indeed ovulate and you have an awesome ute ready for a baby!
persimmon / 1167 posts
@MrsMccarthy: Yeah! I'm really looking forward to seeing what this AF is like if the lining is so "beautiful" because I feel like my past periods have been so scanty and only about 2ish days.
Are you feeling a bit better today?

Put a fork in me...I'm done this cycle:-/. Pre-AF spotting showed up this morning, along with super sore back (typical PMS for me). I'll be here cheering you all on in Feb and March, but fear timing won't work for a March POAS so I'll stick to cheerleader. Love you all-Baby Dust to all!!

@HolisticMama: sorry you didn't get answers....hoping you have some clarity soon. Glad you have a doc on board!

@HolisticMama: Good luck on the blood draw- when do you get results back?
Another stark white BFN for me today at 11DPO. Hopefully tomorrow will at least show something, If that doesn't work, then I will just wait for AF to arrive.
I think I may give one more cycle of OPKs then I will start temping.

@ChiCalGoBee:
@HolisticMama: I am glad to hear everything went well this morning! We are BD EOD this cycle and so far I really like it... no stress and it's not too hard to get in the mood every other day. Even without TTC concerns, it feels like DH and I are really putting some effort into connecting and taking care of our marriage with the EOD plan... so much so that I hope to continue it as much as possible. (Our marriage is great, but sometimes mid-week BD just sounds like too much effort... but I know that regularity is key for relaxation and happiness in our house.)

@Crystal: If you have never temped before, I highly recommend it. I felt like temping gave me a lot of information about my body. You obviously still need OPKs or a SMEP/EOD plan as temping can only tell you about O after it happens, but seeing that drop and spike gave me a lot of reassurance about my cycles.

@ChiCalGoBee: So sorry, friend.
@septca: I agree with it being a key to relaxation and happiness! I am so glad you came up with a plan that works for you!
I think temping might help me with the unknown- I am unsure of when I O after receiving a positive OPK, so even now that I can pinpoint it within a few days, I am still unsure exactly when, and those few days can make a difference!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@ChiCalGoBee: Sorry about AF, and thanks for being a cheerleader to the rest of us!
@LindsayInNY: TMI question... Do you use cups w/ OPKs? I want to order Babi off Amazon and they suggest to bundle up with the teeny plastic cups!
bananas / 9229 posts
@ChiCalGoBee: Boo, sorry
@snowjewelz: I just use plastic drinking cups or little paper dixie cups. Nothing fancy! I rinse it after and re-use it until I get a + and then toss it.
