Do you follow the method (same as bedtime) each time they wake up in the night?
Also: according to ferber, can you alternate on and off who does each check?

You do begin the checks over again with each night waking. Also, I believe it says that you should have the same person do the checks for one waking, but you could have someone else do the next waking.

I've heard its sometimes better for the husband to do checks because LO can smell the milk from mommy and will want to nurse.

The book says anyone can do it and yes you do each wake. Are you starting this? It worked wonders for us!
@littlek: I agree! However in our case y husband was too soft and his checks always resulted in him returning to our bedroom with LO in tow

Last night was night #2 of ferber and she only cried for 19 minutes at bedtime!
Her first wakeup wasnt until 4 am (!!!!!) At which I pulled her in bed with me and nursed her. She woke up at 8 am !!
Success!!!!
