It is so easy having a husband obsessed with his NFL team! Just bought a bunch of jerseys, hats and shirts. And done!
My family is a lot harder to shops for but I have the ideas so that's a start.
And for DHs friends and family we are getting them all the same thing. A bit impersonal but last year from them we got nada, so I really could care less.

I probably need to get my holiday shopping completed before my LO arrives around Thanksgiving, but I really don't want to spend a ton of money right before I go out on maternity leave and lose my income!! Ahh.

@zippylef: score! Ryan's birthday is June, and it's so hard to shop for sometimes. I know I can always get nfl stuff as a last resort but for his birthday I like to do surprise trips. I'm hinting this year for Ryan to buy me a Louis Vuitton duffle!

@anonysquire: My current one is a hand-me-down my mom bought in 1989! It's still ticking but barely. lol. DH is buying me a new Brother sewing/embroidery combo.

@zippylef: how cool! Do you ever go to the craft store and see those automatic robot type machines? The ones that are like 5000 bucks or something. Those look amazing but so hard to understand.

I wish DH was that easy to shop for. He is IMPOSSIBLE to shop for! I dread Christmas shopping and Birthday shopping for him

@blackbird: every year I tell everyone the same thing, I want socks. It's an easy gift and I always get like a billion pairs. And that way I'm not disappointed if I don't get what I ask for. I'm setting myself up for disappointment asking for a purse lol.

@anonysquire: He hates sports, doesn't have a favorite tv show, we have 4 kids so getaways are really difficult (we don't have any family to watch them), and he still hasn't used his spa package I bought him for last Christmas. Heis seriously the worst person to buy gifts for.

aww that's awesome!! I have nooo idea what I'm going to get DH. Last year he wanted a weight set and an iPad. But we joined a gym, and will be getting iPhones so he doesn't have a need for either anymore.. He is hard to shop for only because he is so content and never hints at what he might like. He likes clothes, so that's always a safe option. But I like "fun" things too.

Wow you're an awesome wife! Our anniversary is on Monday.... And I don't have a gift for him yet! well, I kinda do, but it's a surprise vacation in November so I still need to give him something on Monday

@mrs. bird: I was thinking of doing that... I want to save my nannying money and pay for a weekend trip for DH to go skiing. He has missed skiing soo badly since moving here and there is a great lodge a few hours north that I'm sure he would love. It would involve a lot of planning since I'd have to ask all his friends if they wanted to go too.
