I have my first appointment in about 2 1/2 hours! I'm so excited and nervous! I can't wait to see the baby and find out exactly how far along I am. Fingers crossed everything goes well!

Good luck! You may not get to see the baby at the first appointment. Usually at the first appoinment they take urine and blood samples, sometimes do a pelvic exam & or pap smear and then go over the basic do and donts of pregnancy, as well as answer any questions.

our appointment went well. i went in thinking we were about 8 weeks along based on my October LMP. When I made my appointment the receptionist told me that based off of my November MP, I would only be about 3 wks pregnant and that was pretty early to pick it up, so she felt I should be about 7 wks. My doctor won't see you until you are 8-10 weeks. Based off of my October MP, the receptionist put me down for today. When the doctor did the ultrasound, he saw a small sac that is right on target for 5 wks, which would be completely in line with my LMP. So, after a little bit of a scare, we now know we are really and truly pregnant and about 5 wks along. We will go back for another ultrasound in 2 wks to check the baby's growth, etc.
