I have my first visit with a perinatalogist tomorrow. I am 10+ weeks. I am being referred due to 2 previous consecutive m/c. I had a septate uterine wall removed last June and recent genetic screen showing MTHFR, biotindinase deficiency and hemochromatosis.
Just looking for any advice or experiences on what to expect and questions I should ask. This stuff makes me nervous so I am trying to be prepared. OB has prescribed Lovenox and wants the perinatalogist to determine if I should continue, so I know I will be asking about that.

I imagine they will do most of the talking! when i saw an MFM, i was 13 weeks and getting a CVS because some markers showed up on our NT scan. I also have MTHFR and 2 m/c (12 and 7 weeks) so I was on aspirin, but my OB wanted the MFM doc to give the thumbs up that that was all I needed. I met with a genetic counselor there, too.

I went to MFM at 12 weeks because of a previous m/c due to a chromosomal abnormality. We talked to a genetic counselor and discussed testing options. They were super informative and helpful. Then, I went every month because I was diagnosed with GD. I enjoyed going to MFM because they were more thorough and seemed to always answer my questions. Good luck!

I saw an MFM for my twin pregnancy. Since what was making us high risk was the risk of developing twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, I had an ultrasound at each of my MFM appts, which were every two weeks. Mostly, the MFM only came in after to say everything looked good, etc. Our first appt he told us about the type of twins, the risks, and what the plan of treatment would be for my pregnancy. I had a longer consult with him mid-way due to a few issues. Then we had another longer appt with him before delivery. I think what will happen will largely be determined by what you're being seen for, how long they plan to monitor you, etc. i loved our MFM, and he was very knowledgeable so don't be nervous! I saw an MFM for pretty much the same reasons as you: 2 m/cs, MTHFR, and I'm on Lovenox. Though I saw the MFM before getting pregnant because I suspected I needed Lovenox post-O. At the first appointment they just did an ultrasound to make sure everything looked good, then I've only been seeing my OB.

Well I I am a little slow but I just wanted to thank you all for sharing your experiences. I felt the doc was very professional and put me at ease. @lilteacherbee She was definitely more thorough than any OB or MW I have seen and made sure I understood everything.
They are doing for bloodwork for acquired thrombosis but she was convincing that the one copy of MTHFR is likely not the cause of my previous m/cs and that my uterine septum was probably to blame (or just "bad luck" although I hate when docs say that)
She recommended higher doses of folate, which I am already taking and took me off the Lovenox, which she says is unnecessary!! I think @mrs.someone you had stated both of those in another thread, so thanks! You were spot on!!
Overall she said everything was pointing to a normal pregnancy. I had a u/s and baby was jumping around. I am going back in a few weeks for more blood work but it's weird as this is all starting to feel real, which is a little scary.
