I'm not positive whether or not I should count this is a period. It was like 2-3 days of light-mediumish spotting (not enough to fill a tampon, even after several hours), plus some sharp, one-sided cramps.
I'm wondering if it's just because it's the first one post IUD removal? Was your first period post-IUD pretty normal?

I had a very light one a week or two post removal and got all excited.
A month later I had an epic period. Went through more tampons than ever before and had to double up a pad and tampon. Woke up with blood all over the sheets.
It was awful but then went back to normal the next month. Just a heads up in case it happens to you.

I had three "periods" like that post-Mirena (and obviously freaked out that there was something wrong with my fertilitiy), all exactly 28 days apart, then a totally normal period with cramps and crabbiness and full flow. After the normal period, I got pregnant.
