When did your LO get their first tooth? Did the second one follow soon after?
E's first tooth poked through today at 5 months old! I guess that explains why she has been cranky the past couple of days.

DS cut his first 2 teeth at once when he was 7 months old.

Around 5.5 months and then the 2nd was probably 3 weeks later. Both bottom.

DD got her first at four months, second at five, then the next six teeth at one a week for six weeks at around seven months.

@MrsH: I would have much preferred she got them all at once. We made it through though. She just cut her first canine last week and it looks like those will be coming in one at a time too. Ugh.

she just got her first Sunday and the second appears to be right behind (6.5 months). Can you tell by looking in and feeling around?

Erm...like 8 months. Maybe 9. Heh. She's 15 months and has a whopping 5 teeth

It's not constant. The first two came on the same day (3 days before 5 month birthday), next one came by itself (just after 6 months), the next three came together (three weeks later). Then she got her 7th tooth yesterday (just before 10 months) and I think the 8th will be through tomorrow.

@Pirouette: I'm trying not to poke her gums to much because it seems to pain her

@MrsH: yea, we're going through the same! i've heard the first 2 usually come in around the same time, and if she won't let you poke around, there's a good chance she's still teething. My LO had one day of bliss after the first one and then today has been teething hard again (so i hear).

@blackbird: Our kids....they're pretty much triplets.
The boys had no teeth until 9 or 9 1/2 months. Then they got 6 within two weeks. At 15 months, we're at . . . 6 teeth.

Not until 10 months! And they weren't even the 'right ones' to come in - they were her upper lateral incisors! They've also taken over 2 months to fully 'come in.' In the meantime, her bottom middle are coming in and her upper middle are starting to poke through. So, at 12 months she has 6 teeth coming in at the same time. None of them have made it all the way out quite yet!

13 months. And it was another couple of a weeks after that before the second one showed up.

1st two teeth popped out at 7 months and were soon followed by four more. By 16-17 months, he had all his teeth but his 2 year molars. We're still waiting on those at 22 months.
