@ChiCalGoBee: @anyajenkins: booo sorry to hear about the spotting. I really hope AF stays away for you ladies.

I crumbled just now and POAS. I know it was early (9dpo) but I just had a horrible argument with Hubby while out for a meal. Mainly about him telling me that "stressing about getting KU and surrounding myself with 'contraptions' (meaning my OPK!?) will make it not happen". grrr. so annoying and unhelpful. I ran to the toilet as soon as I got home and found an old test. I got ridiculously excited when two lines came up then I checked the back and it's one where a cross comes not two lines. I nearly burst into tears at that point. big tip - always check what a positive looks like first!!

I feel like I'm out. also feel like I'm due on. I will wait to test again but it's not looking good

@Mrs.Lilac: Gah. That sucks. Can you tell DH how much that hurt you? Does he realize the egg only lasts for like 12-24 hours?
    How old is DH?

@HolisticMama: yeah I told him how unhelpful his words were and that I just wanted his support. He has now apologised. He just heard from a few friends that they just got pregnant without 'trying' and he figures we can just see what happens. I explained that I don't want to just leave things to fate and that I will do what I can to help this process. I'm not even talking about it much as I don't want to overwhelm him with information. I have not told him that the egg only lasts that long. I will explain that to him as that will probably help. He is 30 going on 5 at times.

@Mrs.Lilac: My husband is turning 30 in June and was pretty nonchalant until I had an epic breakdown. He had NO idea that the window to conceive so small. It was a game changer. Now he's the perfect TTC soldier.

"Isn't it time to do it? We're doing it every other day."
"No. We can't do it today. We are doing every OTHER day."
"What are your little sticks telling you?"
"What about that....other stuff, you know...the other signs?" (He doesn't like saying cervical mucus.)

I'm really sad that society gives us this warped view of how long it takes to make a baby.

I really really wanted it to be pretty informal and as natural as possible for us to get pregnant, but knowing our odds- we are trying to be a bit more hardcore.

Uhm....just driving by here to say that I may, possibly, a little bit, a teeny tiny bit, have had a squinter on a FRER. Maybe. My friend is here and she can't see it, but I've squinted at SO many that I can see something is......different. I know I've now just TOTALLY jinxed it, and I am having brown spotting still so this could mean chemical, but........?!??!?!?!?

I will re-test tomorrow. I selfishly want to ask for thoughts and baby dust prayers if you're so inclined. Love you ladies.

@Mrs.Lilac: Love to you and hope that there's still a chance. It IS still early. Have hope.
@holisticmama: I am so so so so SO hoping for you, friend. So hoping. It will happen. I feel it.

Have a friend in town so haven't told DH. Want to make sure with a digital tom/Sunday......

I so hope this is it. If I'm not imagining it. I'm freaking out!!!!!

@ChiCalGoBee: ahhhhh. that is amazing!!!! I can totally see it. how exciting. can't wait to see the next one!!!!

@HolisticMama: he is a sweety really. we just had a rough moment there for a minute. he is just uninformed like most people, He certainly isn't the first person to tell us ladies who are TTC to 'relax and not stress' unfortunately. haha

    @ChiCalGoBee: that's a BFP, sweetie. Congratulations!!!

(I know it's still early and it's light, so I would wait a few more days before using a digital - they are not very sensitive, so you might get a false negative. Take another FRER instead - the line should be darker tomorrow and that will make you feel good. )

@mrs.lilac: thank you so much! Any updates?
@septca: thank you so much! You remain the "oracle" of HPT! See below. The worry has set in as this is only a tad darker, although I guess it was only 12 hours between tests? Negative digi as you predicted. Ugh.
@theotherstark: thank you!!!! FX it's sticky.....any updates from you?
    @anyajemkins: thank you!!!

Ladies-I am excited (couldn't sleep last night), but very very nervous. Today's only seems a tad darker (although not lighter?). I had maybe a slight tinge on a Wondfo, and BFN digi.

You ladies remain the only ones in the "know"....my friend is visiting and I want to make sure DH and I have alone time so I can tell him. I also am nervous that it won't stick, so I'm keeping everything close to my heart. Thank you all SO much for your energy and support. I need it and feel it and send it all back to you.

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@Radish: thanks so much, friend. I'm cautiously optimistic, but nervous! You have no how reassuring it is to hear that your LO came from similar looking tests. FX for you!

@ChiCalGoBee: How exciting! I agree with @Radish, when I tested at 10 dpo, I got a verrrrry faint line on a frer, and then it was definitely clearer at 11 dpo. The Mr. didn't even believe me, because he couldn't see it! But he saw it the next morning!

So excited to see what comes up for you tomorrow, fingers crossed!

  27. ChiCalGoBee

@Mrs.Lilac: You never know....my fingers and toes are crossed for you

*i want to say that I know how hard it is for people to see all the pee sticks when they are still trying. I feel awful if I'm causing you pain or frustration.

As you can see, we are very lucky things are progressing for the moment. This is also my PSA about SMU over FMU. I'll call the doctor in the morning. Also, I had a big red blob last night that made me convinced it was all over. I'll keep you posted and will be here cheering you all on!

@Kbee: I'm checking in after far too long too. I am one day before AF is due and having lots of symptoms. They could be either AF symptoms or BFP symptoms. Not sure, but my cervix position is much different than it was last month around this time. It's usually low and open before AF, but now it is high and very soft, almost puffy feeling. TMI!! Sorry! Good luck in your TWW. I'm so glad mine is almost over whatever happens.

@Mrs.Lilac: when are you testing next? Now that @ChiCalGoBee has her BFP, we are TWW buddies. I'm due for AF tomorrow, but won't test because I have a big meeting with one of my highest bosses, so I don't want to be distracted whatever the result is. Sorry to hear your hubby is being difficult, hopefully he's changed his attitude since then.

@MrsHansen82: No TMI here, lady! That sounds SO SO promising!! I will keep my fingers crossed!

@MrsHansen82: Thank you so much. I am incredibly grateful for your excitement-I cannot even tell you. My fingers are SO SO SO crossed that, whenever you DO test, you get a positive!!

@holisticmama: So sorry this has been a trying cycle. TTC definitely, definitely strains the relationship. So hard. Love and light to you.
