Looking for a little reassurance from those who have been here - although I know I am probably being neurotic.
I am very newly pregnant and I have an 18 month old DS. I am very quickly realising how difficult it is going to be to follow recommendations about lifting and exertion etc., and can't help but worry I am putting the baby at risk.
We live in a flat and I carry our city mini up and down 4 flights of stairs every day, usually with a few bags at the same time. I don't have a car and so DS and I do a lot of walking (mostly with him in the pushchair). It's currently over 27c here (about 81f which I realise is probably a walk in the park to a lot of you - but it's very hot for us Brits!) DS is probably about 30lbs and quite often wants to be carried at least some of the time when we go out on foot. Over the last week I have regularly felt like I am pushing myself to my physical limit (which I know doesn't say much for my fitness!) and have had a little dizziness.
I have no problem sucking it up and getting on with it (and not sure what other option I have), but I am just scared I could be harming the baby or increasing the chance of something going wrong. I've been making sure to stay hydrated and trying to minimise activity, but I can't keep the poor little guy cooped up all the time.
Tell me you've been there, done that and it all turned out ok?!
