Are there any risks anyone knows of of flying in the first trimester? I’ll also be asking my OB this week. I’m scheduled to fly to a wedding next weekend and I’m super worried about it.

No. I've done it a lot, your baby will be completely fine. Hope you enjoy the wedding!

No risks per my midwife. I flew a lot for work during my last pregnancy - from 10 to 32 weeks. All was well! Have fun
ETA: I started wearing compression socks early because I swell really early. You may want those for comfort or if your care provider recommends them. That’s all I can think of!

No risks. Even the machines in security are fine. I always mention that I’m pregnant, just in case but the metal detector and the new fancy imaging one are both fine to go through.

I flew in the first trimester with my first and the only problem was some horrible motion sickness which I never get flying. My OB said it was fine to fly and other than being sick everything was good.

I feel like the first tri is probably the best time to fly! Aside from nausea ickiness

@CatchAFallingStar: I have flown in the first trimester and, like others have said, was advised it was perfectly safe. That said, an airplane has a lot of smells and in one of the planes in particular the smells made me incredibly sick, so I would just check that you have an air sickness bag 🤢

I’ve flown in the first trimester in each of my successful pregnancies, doc always says it’s fine.

Hi there! I'm expecting my first child, who is carrying a surrogate mother. Who has had surrogacy experience? What to look for? What problems can be in the first tremester? I consulted with our coordinators from the Agency World Center of Baby. They said they would provide all documentation. I'm constantly in touch with the surrogate, but still worried.
