@Torchwood: I am so heartbroken for you and cried reading your entries. It's so hard to make sense of such a tragic hardship on your journey to start your family. You were faced with such devastating news and I hope you find peace and healing through it all. I use to love watching Oprah on Sundays on the OWN network. This is one of my favorite excerpts taken from the show when I think of my angel baby that I still think of and miss dearly.
"Receive the Person as a Soul"
From Oprah Winfrey's Life Lesson Series (OWN Network)
Receive that person as a soul, you will be able to see the gifts that this soul gave to you no matter how short of a time. Just a moment, glimpse at the notion that you are bigger than your body, bigger than your personality. Stop for a moment and disconnect yourself from the ego and personality, see yourself or another person as a soul. When you lose someone in the physical form, the formless becomes an angel. Life is much bigger than just a physical body. When you are grieving over the loss of a loved one, sense the presence of their soul, which is always with you, instead of the personality that is gone. In doing so, try to remember this, I am not my body, I am not my circumstances, I am not what everything looks like on the outside or to others. I really am a higher level of being & consciousness that is my soul. We, our lives, are bigger than what it looks like or appears to be.

Oof, that blog post. SO heartfelt and beautiful, and I wish I had had those words when our son died. I think what can be so hard about this is, as you and @Dandelion: have said, you're mourning the loss of potential and opportunity and hope, as much as the loss of a baby. And you're mourning the loss of an idea in many ways. For me, it was so difficult because without that long life to celebrate (the time he did xyz, said xyz and so on), it seems as though it would be so easy to pretend it had never happened at all. But, of course, you (we) can't because you are irrevocably changed. Anyway, long and rambling, sorry. All this just to say, thank you again for sharing and I'm sending every possible wish of hope and healing to you and C.

@torchwood I hope you can feel the love and support with you always, like a blanket wrapping you up. I am a stranger to you, but I know you because you have shared yourself in a profound way, and I am humbled by your words and experience. You and your family are on my mind and in my heart.

@torchwood: I haven't commented on your posts, but I've read them and have been following your story. You and your husband have been in my thoughts. I thank you for sharing your experiences and I hope you have felt at least a little bit of release in doing so. Although I have always been pro-choice, your words have shown me the real, immediate, human side of late term abortions. I know that if I ever have to make a such a painful decision, your story will help me know I'm not alone.
