Did they take blood or do finger pricks?
When I was pregnant with Lo they drew blood.
This time, they're doing finger pricks!! 
One at fasting, and 1, 2, & 3 hrs after drinking the glucola.
If my fasting, 1 and 2 are normal I can leave early!
So far my blood at fasting is normal!

Wow you're lucky! They took full vials of blood, and I dont think they test it on the spot - so no leaving early.
They did have a nice comfy couch in a secret waiting room though so I just hung out there and played games on my ipad

you're so lucky! i'm so needle phobic and i had to get blood drawn 3 times, but with a total of about 8 actual needle pokes (my veins weren't cooperating). I definitely asked about finger pricks instead but they said it wasn't an option.

They did full vials at every draw. Plus I had to have blood work done so that was another 4 vials...all on an empty stomach besides the glucola. Horrendous.

@highwire: omg you poor thing. I can't even imagine how crappy I would have felt! I was so shaky and hungry by the time I got to eat! and I just got 4 finger pricks!

Yes, four full vials here. On the third one, my veins were not cooperating, she was digging around in both arms, and I almost passed out. It sucked. But I passed!
