I've given DH funny shirts for many occasions, so I found it appropriate to give him a funny shirt to tell him we're finally having a baby! I also gave him a funny dad book which has proven to be very useful.
Shirt is from Ebay, book is from Amazon.

I just run in waving the pee stick in his face. But I don't have the patience to come up with something creative and wait until a later time (both times I found out at 5:00 am.

For our second, I gave DS the pee stick and told him to go show daddy. Kinda gross, I know, but I'm not creative and couldn't think of anything. We don't get pregnant nor keep pregnancies easily either so I didn't want to do something elaborate and lose the baby and have to come up with another announcement while still being skeptical.
We did end up miscarrying our 2nd before successfully carrying to term.

With DS I bought some cute little baby knit cowboy boots and wrapped them up with the pregnancy test. I had ordered them well in advance to have on hand.
We told others about pregnancy 2 by making DS a shirt that says 'big bro' est. feb 2017, so something like that would be a cute way to tell DH also.

He got up super early to get our toddler back to sleep and since I was awake I took a test. Then was shocked by it being positive but worried n cause it was an expired test. So I left the tests out on the sink and later when he got up babbled incoherently about it probably being positive but we had to go out and get a new test since these were expired. While he was half asleep.
So you could do that....

I told DH about #2 while we were driving home from a concert, he nearly wrecked the car - funny now, but I don't recommend it lol. Whoops! To be fair, I had also put it on our calendar but he doesn't pay attention so that didn't work.

I get pregnant easily, but don't stay pregnant. So with DS we had a horrible day at 9DPO (tire blew on I95 and I needed a margarita. I went into Wal-Mart as the tire was being fixed to get water and decided to POAS. Didn't look at the test until in the parking lot and told DH "Well, I guess I'm not getting that margarita"

Ha. I wrapped up a little sleeper and gave him the gift while down on one knee...I asked if he'd be my baby daddy. (Totally a joke because I'd never use that phrase but it was funny.) Even though we were trying he was really surprised because I'd had negative tests leading up to that day and wasn't feeling like I was pregnant.

I tucked a onesie in the dog's collar that said "arrrrgh wipe me booty" (he's an ECU pirate fan) and sent the dog to see him.

The first time, I had done IVF. I was planning to test the morning before my beta but woke up at 2am and couldn't go back to sleep. When it was positive I woke my husband up to tell him and he mumbled "that's good" and went back to sleep. I woke him up again, explained it was real, and then made him stay awake with me for two hours watching New Girl reruns because I was too wound up to sleep.
The second time I got a onesie that said "I can't keep calm, I'm going to be a big brother", gave him the test, and told him to take it to daddy. I forgot to factor in that he was on a "throw everything down the basement stairs" kick which kind of interrupted the moment.

I wanted to buy a little onesie or bib with a logo from one of my husband's favorite sports teams and was going to give that to him to tell him I was pregnant. I never ended up doing that and my DH was actually the one to tell me I was pregnant.
I took a test and figured it would be negative so I went back into the bedroom and my husband went into the bathroom and saw the 2nd line forming.

I failed miserably both times... With dd I poas at work. When I got home I just told dh I was pregnant. He didn't believe me until I.poas the next morning
With this one I walked from the bathroom to dh and shoved the stick in his face. We had been trying and did fertility treatments then stopped and weren't trying so I was SHOCKED
I always imagined making dh a dinner of baby carrots, mini quiche or something else small/mini and mini cupcakes...lol....but it didn't happen

I made him this little box this time around and told him I got him a present!
I did something similar for my mom
