I was thinking about doing some light gardening in the next couple of weeks, potting some plants mainly, but I'm not sure if it's safe to do while pregnant because of potentially harmful pesticides or contents in bagged soil. I plan on wearing rubber-coated gloves and a dust mask to minimize contact.

Has anyone heard anything about this from their OB? I see my doctor on Thursday so I'll probably ask her, but it seems like anytime I ask about pregnancy DOs & DON'Ts the doctors look at me like I'm being overly paranoid.
