Alright ladies, I'm probably the ONLY person to have this problem (at least, I hope I am), but I need some advice!
I'm currently 33 weeks and throughout my pregnancy, I've been pretty good about still doing everything I was doing before. Hubs and I used to share in the lawn mowing duties, and I continued as always while pregnant. Now that it's winter, I've continued to try to help out, shoveling and snowblowing, but I'm at the point where I just don't think I can continue.
Physically, I probably can continue - it just hurts my back and my feet and I find it a lot more challenging to do these things than it was before, but technically, I am able. I'd really like for my husband to take over these duties completely (snowblowing and shoveling specifically) for the rest of my pregnancy (and probably postpartum as well).
My question is: what do I say to him to get him to understand he needs to step up?
We had a snow storm yesterday. Normally we would deal with the driveway after work, but we had a Newborn Basics class, so we didn't have time. Hubs IMPLIED that he would snowblow the driveway this morning before work and that he would be working late tonight and tomorrow. Well, this morning, I asked him once he got up if he was going to snowblow and he said that he got up too late and therefore wasn't going to do it. I asked if he was going to do it when he got home tonight and he said "Maybe." At this point, I just started crying because I was so frustrated. I told him we needed to get it done before Friday night because I had company coming over and his response was "You have the day off tomorrow, you can do it then." I left for work sobbing and I'm STILL upset.
Someone help me.
