I felt what felt like gas bubbles around 18 weeks or so, but didn't feel actual kicks until around 22 weeks, and even those I only could REALLY feel the kicks that were to the side of my anterior placenta!

This is my 3rd. I have no idea if I have AP or not but no one has said anything so I'm guessing not.
I was certain that I would feel the real kicks sooner because it was my 3rd baby. Let me tell you what. I will be 23 weeks tomorrow and just this week has she become a crazy kicking machine.
DH felt her a week ago for the first time but nothing like this weeks kicks have been.
It's so hard to be patient but I promise you it will be happening like crazy within the next couple weeks.

@JoJoGirl: You are going to LOVE when you start feeling kicks. I hope you get to feel some to the side of your placenta too - those are surprisingly forceful in comparison and a lot of fun! For me, they even tickled, haha.

I felt movements around 19 weeks but due to my anterior placenta it was probably 21 weeks before I felt a kick. 23 weeks before DH did. It was 26 weeks before I felt them regularly.
Hang in there!! They are totally worth the wait.

How do y'all know if you have an AP? I'm 18 weeks - no kicking yet. Felt something I thought was kicking before 16 weeks but never felt it again, so I'm guessing it was just gas or a weird stomach thing.

@LazyLightning: My doctor told me after an ultrasound.

AP and I started feeling movement at 20 weeks. I felt flutters for a couple weeks before that but was never sure if it was LO or gas.

And I am so excited, it's going to be my first indication there's a human being in there Other than the u/s of course!

I have AP too, and I don't honestly remember when the kicks started, but you will definitely feel them! I have been describing some of her recent movement as "it must be jumping jacks." I'm just past 34 weeks now, but it's been going on for a while already.

Hahahahah How did you all know I was just off googling this?! Not really any movement yet Every now and then I think I get kicked in the cervix but honestly, it's so hard to differentiate it from muscle fibers twitching, I just don't know getting super impatient!!!

@JoJoGirl: The only early kicks that were obvious to me were the ones that were to the side of my placenta (those tickled) and the ones to my bladder! Just wait until you start feeling bladder kicks!

Had an AP - Exactly 20 weeks - but not really regular (like feeling all day) until like 22 weeks.

I don't know if I have an AP but I'm 18+6 and haven't felt anything yet. it's making me nervous but I got to listen to the heartbeat at 16 weeks, so I'm trying to stay relaxed. It seems lie do many people feel their baby's move so early!

I finally have started feeling consistent movement in the last two weeks, and have now felt it from outside and seen my belly move! DH finally got to see and feel too. It is totally amazing and was absolutely worth the wait (now at 22w5d).
