People have been asking for ideas for my LO's upcoming birthday. I obviously know her own likes and dislikes but I'd love new ideas that I may not be thinking of!
We have a pass that admits us to the local zoo, children's museum and science museum.

I am trying to think of ideas as well! I am going to ask for fall clothes/pajamas. Maybe art supplies? That's always a nice gift. Or some board games?

My 4 year old got a subscription to the highlights magazine for preschoolers and gets so excited every month when it arrives.

Magazine subscriptions are great! Each of my LOs gets one as a Christmas gift every year from on of their aunts. Another thought is something like a kid's umbrella or a backpack. Daycare gifts each kid with their own mini umbrella on their birthday and it has been a huge hit (so huge that I had to buy a 2nd umbrella for my younger LO).

I have gifted magazine subscriptions, aren't they great?
We are working through Puzzle Buzz by Highlights now, it's another good magazine.
I've also gifted an indoor tent and sports equipment, but my other favorite thing to gift are family board games and 3D puzzles.

@Shantuck: My mom got LO highlights this year and it is great! I would definitely recommend for a 3 year old - good puzzles, little stories, etc.
This tent has also been a huge hit with both LO and our cat lol
