Hmmm.. I know what you mean!

For my IL's and my 2 SIL's I am going to do a small handmade gift, probably a basket of homemade cleaning supplies including laundry detergent. I figured if they dont' like it they can use it on their towels or something. My SIL has given us just mason jars of hot chocolate mix before.

Also, I have done baskets of Glade holiday scents before (pretty cheap and often on sale).

We usually spend a good amount on dh's fam! I love them all..
Buying gifts for parents is always tough though. We usually do picture gifts, Harry and David gift baskets, I've sent celebration birds from Gifts Define..

@anonysquire: If you have a Costco membership, I'd go to Costco and just buy little gift baskets for all! They have little ones in the $20-30 range! So easy!

@anonysquire: Mine just thinks gift cards for everyone. I just hate it cause then they know exactly what we spent.

Lol! I love this thread! Will you have to ship them separately or can you group up a few? If it's separate, I'd stick to something light! How about contacting a bakery and having them ship a cake ... maybe a fruit cake? Those are hard and difficult to get yummy.

I'm usually left to all the gift buying, DH is no help at all! The in-laws actually give good gifts so I don't have to get too creative. But I never get credit for actually buying them so it doesn't motivate me at all. Last year for BILs bday, I'm the one that remembered and went out to buy his gift and he kept referring to it as M's gift he's usually 'thee' nice one!

I don't have any good clever ideas because my ILs don't celebrate holidays! WIN!

They do celebrate their anniversary & we usually go with a gift card.

@anonysquire: I'm actually considering something DIY this year. We were out of town for Xmas last year but still got them all something and didn't get anything in return. I'm thinking about little butterfly portraits of LO's feet ... Maybe you can try it with your cats. Everyone loves homemade gifts

Instead of butterflies, you can a Xmas tree design with your cat's paws and have a Mormon quote in the background.

Ok, so I'm kind of mean when I want to be and I have all sorts of back handed bad ideas now I say you do this:
Gift bag of delicious coffee that is actually decaf and see if you can locally owned stuff that is made by Mormons, that hopefully has something like that written on the bag.
Then include a beautiful fruit basket. But pick fruit that is almost too ripe, so by the time it gets there it is all rotten (sort of like them?) With very tiny bananas (for the prick in your life )
Then some soap (you could try and find some fancy soap) and put in the card it is to help with the odor or to help keep them clean or something like that.

You totally have to include some Mormon stuff, if that is their biggest issue with you.

This post is making me realize how evil I can be. I swear I'm a nice person and not an evil master mind
