I can't figure out what I want for Christmas. What are you hoping for? You all have the best ideas!

A ninja foodi smart grill, yeti rambler water bottle, a fluffy sherpa type pullover from patagonia, a new saucepan and skillet to replace two of my nonstick ones that are in bad shape, and a coffee subscription (these are all ideas I gave DH, for my family I mostly put gift cards and my mom bought me a new winter parka).
I also usually ask for new slippers! I got toms slippers last year and love them.

I want some fun candleholders for taper candles (I like the ones at Hay.com), a sweater from LL Bean, a cozy throw blanket, Luxardo cherries, and a bunch of cookbooks - the new Smitten Kitchen, Home is Where the Eggs Are, Savory Baking, and the New Mexican Vegetarian Cookbook.

A charm for my Pandora bracelet, yarn for a crochet project, simple geometric shaped earrings, and a DVD of a movie I've been wanting to see but we don't have the streaming service it's on.

A longer raincoat, an electric kettle so I can make tea in my office upstairs, a prettier toaster for the kitchen

Teva sandals to replace mine that literally fell apart this summer, a helmet for winter sports, and a blow dryer brush. Pretty boring "wants" this year.
Oh, DH and I always ask for a new annual state park pass from my dad.

We’re getting a quieter coffee grinder and upgraded coffee pot for both me and DH from Santa. And I’ve asked for a ring in my new baby’s birthstone to go with the one I have with DD1’s and some practical things—wool socks, replacements for some kitchen items that are wearing out, etc. I asked my parents, who usually get us a fancy dinner type restaurant gift card and a night of babysitting, to switch it up and have a professional organizer come to the house, but idk if they’ll do that since they wouldn’t get the night with the grandkids.

@karenbme: ooh, I'm going to steal your idea of a fancy restaurant gift card and babysitting!

@Chuckles: agreed!! DH and I would love a date night! So long overdue for us. We don't have any family I'm town though and haven't ever gotten a random babysitter yet... DD was too little and then with Covid we never felt quite right about it.

@Lahela017: I’m in the same boat with never having a random babysitter because DD1 was tiny when Covid hit, but if you have family close enough for a weekend visit it works out fine. My parents are about a 3 hour drive away and they’ll come up on a Saturday and stay over/babysit Saturday night.

Every Christmas I go in with my parents and my brother to get my sister and her husband a date package. My parents buy the dinner gift card, my brother picks out a fun activity and gets a gift card (escape room, Top Golf, wine & paint, etc), and I give them babysitting money.
This year we went slightly different with a NYE date night package. We don't usually pick the day for them, but we got them a gourmet cooking class on NYE so it's both dinner and an activity.

@karenbme: great idea. My parents are 3 hours away as well. I think I need to make this happen. DH and I really need to connect more. We have a 5 month old baby so things have been crazy again.
