    Ok, well...

    Guess I'm going for it. Honestly, it won't be an enormous change, but it does mean I have to re-purpose the apricots I was going to make cake with tonight...

    ...and by I'm going for it, I really mean that the marinade I've been soaking chicken in all day contains gluten, so I'm starting tomorrow.

    @LovelyPlum: When I went gluten free, I had a gluten bucket list that I went through! That was a delicious few days!!! It helped to make the transition over a few days so I didn't feel like I was setting myself up for failure. GF is really doable.

    @LovelyPlum: Lol!

    I am gluten free! Not for TTC... but because I'd rather not poo my pants on a bi-daily basis or break out with super sketchy looking eczema. Severe intolerance over here!

    @LovelyPlum: Yesterday on the way home from the ND I stopped by Whole Foods and got myself my favorite cookie (Chocolate toffee crunch) as a "consultation cookie" as my last gluten for the foreseeable future. It was SO GOOD. I also got some GF junk food. So enjoy your chicken and cake tonight, then start fresh tomorrow!

    I totally wish several of us lived in the same city so we could go through these things together.

    while it could be completely coincidental, when i got pregnant with my lo (3rd pregnancy, 1st sticky) i was on the first phase of the south beach diet, which essentially cuts out gluten because it is almost completely carb free.

    this was with our 3rd iui, the 2 previous ones being unsuccessful.

    i will definitely be talking about this with my doctor our next go around.

    I'm bumping this thread again...

    Did anyone have a rash in the first few weeks of going GF? I've read that its possible from the detox, but it doesn't seem super common. Wondering if I need to go see a doctor or if I should just wait it out. I'm about 2.5 weeks into it, and the rash started maybe 5 days in.

    I'm gf and miscarried and conceived again so I don't think it had much effect but who knows.

    @Mrs.Someone: I didn't, but I've been more lax in the last few days because carbs are all that sound good. You may want to call your doc, that sounds uncomfortable. Feel better!

    When I went to see my NP after my MC she printed me out a copy of this:
    http://www.acog.org/About%20ACOG/News%20Room/News%20Releases/2013/High%20Protein%20Low%20Carb%20Diets%20Greatly%20Improve%meconium.aspx

    Basically, in a nutshell, the article found better fertility in women who had a higher percentage of their calories from protein than carbs. Food for thought!

    @Mrsk: Thanks for sharing! Interesting article. The link didn't work, but I was able to find it here.
