I'm a stickler on each of us packing ourselves or atleast getting our own things together. Primarily b/c I don't want to be responsible for forgetting something DH needs. Today though I get to pack both of us for the most part b/c we're leaving straight from picking him up from work. EEK!
Do you pack for the both of you or does your SO get/pack their own stuff?

I make DH pack his own stuff but I'll verbally ask him if he packed all the things I think he'll forget (ie. contact lens solution...All the time! Without fail!)

I sometimes lay stuff out because we usually leave right after he gets home from work and I don't want to wait for him to pack at his turtle speed. I try to get him to do it himself the night before though!
ETA: isn't it odd that we can back for our husbands? If DH packed for me, who knows what would be in my bag?!

I do the same as @Rubies. I make him pack his own luggage and will ask him if he remembered simple things like toothbrush, underwear

He packs my shampoos and toothbrush, paste, comb, phone charger...
I pack my clothing.
I am the forgetful one of the two of us, so DH wouldn't ever ask me to pack him up. He's too particular anyways.

Yep, I pack for all of us. I write up a very detailed packing list, so the actual packing part is really easy. I also load the car.

I pack (well, throw all his stuff in a pile) for him - I used to make him pack for himself, but he asked me a thousand questions so it just became more efficient for me to do it myself

He does most of the packing. I never have time. Thank goodness he doesn't mind the task.
I don't get to blame him if I have to wear weird stuff or something is missing, because at that point I should have made time to pack!

Never. Once we went on a last minute trip and he forgot underwear. We woke up the first day and he said "crap, I'm pretty sure I forgot underwear!" So we had to go buy some. Now I always double check that he packed some

He packs his own but I quiz him after. Like when we went to Maui and he neglected to pack his sunglasses or swim trunks.

He gathers what he wants to take, I pack it all. I'm much neater and organized. If he packed he'd roll everything up in a giant ball and shove it in a bag. Lol

I'm the particular one who makes detailed lists, etc. Plus, I'm able to pack while he's at work (we usually leave for trips right after he gets off work). I pack all of us!

Pretty much. If I ask him to do it, it won't get done until the night before. So I usually pull everything, have him check it and pack it. He does his own toiletries.

@TurtleDoves: @Mrs. Jacks: this is us! Thank goodness DH is good at it. At max, I'll pull out some clothes. And I always pack my jewelry...but only once DH has talked me through putting together clothes. I don't know why I'm so bad at it, but I just am.

We pack separately and just recently DH started using the same suitcase. He leaves his items on the bed and I place in the suitcase. After one trip when he assumed I knew what to bring for toiletries he does that for himself too. I think I left out lotion...hotels provide it, but he wantes his own.

mostly. he gathers his phone charger & most of his toiletries, but i pack his clothes & all the shared items- snacks, books, travel papers (tickets/passports/directions), etc.

Nope. He's a grown man and can pack himself. He usually doesn't have anything he needs though and packs ridiculously. HE never has weather appropriate clothing on trips. He's an adult though. He can deal.

I pack for him. I typically pack while he is at work. I start by texting him and ask if there is anything in particular that he want to wear while we're away. Then he'll pack his toiletries right before we leave.

Nope, he packs for himself. He's a big boy. I don't think he'd even let me do it if I offered. Our typical routine if we're sharing a suitcase is I pack first, and he gets whatever space is left over after!
My mom always packs for my dad and I find it so odd! At least, lay your clothes out and then she can just put it in the suitcase.

Nope, he's an adult. He packs his own stuff. If we're leaving after work he gets all his stuff together the night before. But I pack joint items like toiletries.
I don't get how you pack for him though? Do you pick his outfits out?

I usually pack socks, boxers, bathing suits, undershirts if he will need them and pajamas. He is in charge of his clothes and toiletries. I could pack his clothes but he prefers to do it, it only takes me an extra 5 minutes to pack those basics and he really appreciates it!
I don't think he could pack me a bag though!

i pack basics like toiletries for both of us. i will sometimes pack his clothes if he tells me what he wants to bring. this may change once we have LOs! but i am the type of person who has fun planning/preparing for trips so it doesn't feel like work.
