I have an office chair that I sit in at work...it's a standard office chair, pretty nice. But has no low back support and I notice I am getting uncomfortable at work as my belly gets bigger. Any suggestions for a good low back support?
Thanks!

Not sure if this is an option for you, but when I worked, before they switched out all of our office chairs, people could specifically ask for the Aeron chairs for medical reasons. These chairs have amazing back support and are comfortable (though they don't look it!). They're expensive but maybe you could look into whether your companies offer them as exceptions? Think they're called Herman Miller Aeron.

If you don't have an ergonomics person you can go to (assuming the law firm doesn't have that, anyway), maybe a small, firm "tube" pillow to rest behind your back? I'm getting close to needing a little more support than my chair offers and was thinking of buying one of those.

@Goldilocks1107: We don't have an ergo person here - I was thinking of a little tube pillow or basically something I could wedge at the bottom of my chair. There's a store near me called "Relax the Back" and I was thinking of going there this weekend.

I'm not sure if this counts, but I stopped sitting in a regular office chair and switched out for an exercise ball at about 5 months. My lower back has always been achy and my posture tends to get worse as the work day progresses, so I wanted to see if sitting on an exercise ball would help. It does! My posture has been a lot better since I have to consciously sit upright with my hips out and back straight to maintain balance on the ball. Also, the lower back pains (besides the ones from the increasing weight of my belly) has gotten better. Plus, being only 2 weeks from my due date I have been rocking my hips left and right while working to help move this baby down. You should try it! =)

I bought one of these Hag Capisco chairs about 8 years ago. It was super pricey then ($450) and it's even pricier now ($800) but it really is an awesome chair. I used to sit at a computer most of the day and when I wasn't there, I was sitting in a cramped airplane seat so my back was really paying the price. It has a ton of positions and saddle type seat really alleviated a lot of the pressure from my tailbone. Worth every penny I paid and it's still looks and feels brand new.

Did you find anything that works yet? I'm thinking of disobeying the "no exercise ball" rule soon and bringing mine in to work. But I think I'll see if I can get a doctors note first

I bought a small rectangular pillow on sale at Pier 1 and stuck that behind my back. I also stacked a few books on the floor to prop my feet on , both of those helped so much!

@winniebee: Check out that store and test out EVERYTHING--everyone's back is a little different.

I tried a few different types at a store and ended up with this one. I like it so far. I feel like my work chair could still be more comfortable but this is helping; it attaches to my chair and provides some additional support to the low back area.
