So I sent DH on a hunt last night to find me a google reader replacement.
I've just started using Feedly, and it seems pretty good so far. It's a plug in for browsers, and there's an iOS and Android app.
From what I can tell you log in with your google account, and in the background they're working on something that will switch to them storing your RSS stuff instead of google. IYKIM??
It's a lot prettier than google reader was!

@Penny Lane: so far I'm happy with Feedly. I'm not giving up Google Reader until it's gone, though. As much as I like Tech Crunch normally, I think they're lying:

I'm in denial! I believe Google will cancel its plans to get rid of it! Haha. At least I have a few months to get over my denial, start mourning and move on.

I'm using Feedly too. I don't like it on the phone, but I like it on the iPad.

@T.H.O.U.: I don't know about Bloglovin. I'm using Feedly when I remember, and I'll keep using Google Reader until I can't anymore.

Do I have to resubscribe everything or can I import my reader into Feedly??

@regberadaisy: when you get the feedly app it has you sign in with gmail and imports all your stuff itself

I just started with feedly, and so far I like it. Loved the ease of importing my reader feeds, but had to customize the layout a few times before I found something that worked for me...time will tell!
I can't believe they eliminated the links to reader on Google and gmail pages...so annoying!
