I got a crazy awful stomach bug when I was about 8 months pregnant. I was super worried about the baby, but I called the doctor and they weren't concerned. Hopefully all will be okay for you!

Bronchitis here too - not a good time at all.

I had a really bad case of bronchitis around the beginning of my last trimester. I had to take antibiotics to get rid of it. My doctor said it was super important to take them, even though I was nervous about it. I would see another doctor for sure!

I had HORRIBLE bronchitis in the middle of the 2nd tri. I was on antibiotics and they gave me codeine cough syrup that was safe, but made me feel too freaky. I was crying from the coughing. I purposefully breathed shallowly to try to not cough. I was coughing so hard that I was constantly peeing. I had to wear pantyliners so I wouldn't pee all over the couch. It was one of the most miserable things I've ever been through.

@jedeve: I had pneumonia for most of my first trimester. I was really worried too about how it would affect the baby. I would see your PCP not your midwife at this point.

In the end even though I'm a no meds person I had to take pregnancy safe meds to nip it in the button.

I had an awful cold about a month and a half ago and I was crazy miserable. I couldn't breathe so I couldn't sleep, so I couldn't get better faster. Misery. I am getting over another cold, though not as bad this time. The joys of working in a hospital.

One of my very best friends is currently pregnant. Early into her pregnancy, she got food poisoning. She was throwing up so bad for days that she was actually hemorrhaging a ridiculous amount of blood. She was at the ER multiple times to check the baby. She thought she was losing the baby. But the baby was just fine.

Fast forward a few months later and the same pregnant friend has just very recently been diagnosed with melanoma cancer.

Yep, unfortunately. I caught bronchitis around 23 weeks and had a horrible chest cold from then through about 27 weeks. I also got diagnosed with strep throat on the day I delivered...not so fun.

I also got injured while I was pregnant-I partially dislocated both of my hips due to falls on the ice, so I had to deal with that, too.

Being sick and pregnant sucks, I'm sorry. But don't feel bad if you have to take medicine to feel better. Baby can't be healthy unless Mama is!

I was in the hospital for half a day with the flu at 38w. It sucks. I got two bags of fluids and an Rx for tamiflu.

I had 2 stomach bugs, at 8 and 24 weeks...I never get sick but both left me exhausted and confined to the sofa for days. I was so worried about the baby, especially the 2nd time but she was fine.

I had Norovirus and was barfing my brains out at 27w. Then got a horrible chest cold the week after. It was bad. All I could take was cough syrup and Tylenol.
