I have my NT scan next Friday, and I'll be 12 weeks on the dot. I know it's a looooooong shot, but has anyone ever found out their babys gender at an NT scan? I'm so anxious to find out, and I just want to know now!

I asked and they didn't know. I got into a very minor car accident when I was 14 weeks and had to get an ultrasound at the hospital and she said it was a boy. She was right.

My OB said he's "pretty good" at guessing early and told us we were having a girl. So we told everyone we were having a girl. At my 20 week ultrasound we couldn't have been more shocked we were having a boy than if they told us squirrels were in there.

At mine she said that she was almost positive that it was a girl and she was right!

Yes but ours was at 13 or 14 weeks, don't remember but it was pretty obvious we were having a boy.

We could tell ours was a boy at the NT scan (12w 4d). She told us she was about 95% sure, but there was equipment present a girl wouldn't have.

Yes - our technician would only say she was "guessing" both times, but she was right in both cases - two little girls. The scans were at 12/13 weeks, and our doctor confirmed both times around 15/16 weeks.
I'd say chances are decent of the sonographer getting it right if he or she is willing to take a guess, but I still probably wouldn't buy anything gender specific that can't be exchanged until you have an anatomy scan a few weeks later!

At my NT scan with LO #1 the tech said she was pretty sure that it was a girl. At 17 weeks LO was very clearly a boy!
With #2 they wouldn't even guess.

With number knew she was pretty confident it was a hit, and he was.
With number 2, I didn't want a guess. She said she had a good idea what it was, but didn't tell us what she thought

We did. The tech said she doesn't often see it as clearly, but our baby flipped over just right to flash her. She said boy and it was correct

Nope! They don't even guess or really look. Which I am glad about. I would rather wait and be 100% sure.

She guessed girl at 13 weeks, but warned us not to buy anything yet. 20 week ultrasound confirmed it was a girl.

Two of my friends who are recently pregnant told me that you can find out the gender when they do your blood test even before the NT test. I'm not sure if insurance covers but worth finding out! I would! I didn't even ask during both NT scans for my boys. Just waited a really long time at 20 weeks!
