Did your DH/SO feel weird at first to have sex right after you found out you were pregnant? Like afraid he'll mess something up or hurt you because he views you as Fragile now??
If so how long did it take for him to get over that fear?

My husband didn't care. I was the one more nervous about somehow causing a miscarriage!

We didn't have this issue but I know it's very common during pregnancy. Some husbands are also a little freaked out that the baby will "know"!

@regberadaisy: I haven't been feeling in the mood for the past two weeks even before I found out but last night I thought we'd better try and he seemed good with it but then just couldn't and I got really upset.
I have also heard it's very normal but when you are so emotional you just feel terrible.
@sorrycharlie: I'm a little nervous too which is silly since it's my 3rd pregnancy so I know it'll be fine. But, he's never had sex with a pregnant person before so it's bothering him. -
Yep - he wouldn't have sex at all until our first doctor's appointment where we saw the bean and everything looked okay.

Yup, he felt a little funny about it. But quickly got over any hesitation
And now that there really IS a belly, he isn't freaked out (which surprised both him and me--we both thought intimacy would be weird with a pregnant belly).

DH was freaked out about it. I had placenta previa so I was on pelvic rest until 16 weeks. I was cleared at 16 weeks at our ultrasound in which we also saw LO kicking around for the first time. After that DH said it was too weird doing anything knowing that his kid was in there and seeing proof.

@highwire: I think that's going to be how he is too. Problem is we don't have an appt until 9/14 and I'm not sure I want to wait that long hahaha
@hilsy85: lol I'm on the heavy side so having some belly shouldn't be a problem! He's just so bothered with the thought he'll hurt me. -
@leelee: I'm so glad I'm not the only one dealing with this.
I was really emotional about it last night. Kinda felt unwanted when I know that's not the case. He's apologized profusely but I've told him he shouldn't feel bad for how he feels. I don't want him to think it's wrong to feel that way. -

Didnt bother him at all. This is his second baby, my first.

My husband was good to go, but it was NOT happening considering we had miscarried the baby before this and I bled pretty steadily from 4-13 weeks this time.

We were both nervous because we’d had 2 prior miscarriages in the preceding year. After we heard baby’s heartbeat (at 7 weeks) we both felt better. He hasn’t had any problem with it since then, even now that the belly is huge (now at 32 weeks).

@aprk: I do think it's normal.I've been dealing with like an emotional roller coaster the past couple weeks. I thought it was the worst PMS ever until I found out I was pregnant lol

@Running Elley: Well I'm glad it's been good since hearing the heart beat. I'm thinking that will ease his fears as well.
