When I was in college it happened to me like 3 times in 1 year! I was so glad when we finally sold our place in that neighborhood. Has it ever happened to you?

no, but dh's has! and it was when he was spending the night at my apt a few years back before we got married!
he had an entire stereo system/tvs etc stolen out of it! more than $1500 in stolen goods! :T i felt horrible!

When my Mom lived in Germany, someone broke into her car, stole her documents, and then torched the car.
The police and the air force were concerned that it was terrorists that wanted to use the documents to enter the air force base. This was shortly after a terrorist attack against service members in Germany, so they were on high alert.
Nothing ever happened though... -
My car was broken into the day after I bought it. I was 20 and had gone out with friends for dinner. One of them left his leather jacket on the back seat and that's all the thief took.

No but DH's jeep was broken into in college. They took the nice sound system he had gotten for graduation and some cd's. They also cut through the canvas to break in even though he had zippered windows that were super easy to open.

I had my car broken into at the mall. They smashed the window. I had a car full of gifts for my friends baby shower. I guess they weren't interested in any of that stuff since nothing was missing!
